Valin walked the streets of Nujelm taking in the sights of the city at night. It had been days since he left the Island of Moonglow to visit the other Island cities in search of something he heard rumored hidden on one of the Islands. He had already searched the Islands of Moonglow and Magicnia for this book and found nothing that even came close to what he was looking for. So far after two days in Nujelm he had come up dry in this City as well. He searched every place but the Palace.

"How am I to get past those guards Valin said to himself as he passed the Palace one more time." Valin conintued to walk and think until he finally came up with an idea. He had decided he would mix some herbs and regeants together and hopefully make a sleeping spell or something at least to put the guards to sleep. Valin then made his way back to his room after he had collected his supplies. The mixture of the items took about two hours. Valin then took the powder he had made and put it into a small pouch and tied it to his waist. He then stood up from his desk and then walked out of his room and down the street towards the Guards. Once at the Palace gate he pulled the pouch from his waist and threw the powder at the guards. The guards began to move towards him but then fell to the ground snoring..

Once inside the Palace Valin moved quietly and dunked behind objects many time to hide himself from the guards..his journey through the Palace took for what seemed like hours till he finally had found the personal Library of the Royal Family. Once in the Library Valin cast a spell he had learned that would help him find this book he was looking for. He searched for nearly two hours before he found what he was looking for. The book was safely hidden among th eother books were no one could have found it unless they knew how or knew it was there..Valin opened the book and looked at it and then let our a curse it was written in a language he couldnt understand. Just as he stood up to leave he heard the doors open and the sound of metal clanking on the floor. Knowing he had been found out Valin closed his eyes and began to chant. Before the guards could catch him Valin disappeared.

In Moonglow the shadow of a man appeared in the coroner of the bank. Valin opened his eyes and smiled. He had escaped capture and this had given him a thrill. He then walked over to the Bank Mintor and asked for his bank box. Carefully placing the book in his bank box he then handed the box back to the mintor. "Now were do I go to find out how to read this book Valin said as he walked out of the bank." "Ah I know were I can go. I shall visit this Bailos and his council and ask them for there help." Valin then made his way to the Inn happy with his new item he had found and thrilled to hopefully find out what he had for he felt what he found was indeed something important and could fetch a great reward.

After the Captain of the Guards had informed her of the robbery Sarah dispatched orders to see what had been taken. She must know the full extent and commanded the heads of each department within her palace to take an inventory.

She also kept busy dispatching letters. One to General Nazralte for any knowledge he may have and a request for additional security for the Empire. Another to the ancient mages of Moonglow to see if they know of anything of importance that would be within the palace walls. The thief had used some sort of powder to disarm her security, perhaps he is a student of magic. It was all she had to go on at the moment and she had been remiss in corresponding with the Mage Tower occupants.

The last letter was to put down on parchment her feelings about the attempted take over of Yew. A journal of events for herself and Rufus. She had spent most of yesterday locked in a heated battle of words with the Dark Awakening. The Goddess was merciful and had allowed time for the Yew Council to make it to the undisclosed location of the meeting. Great events will swiftly take place in that wooded hamlet and the Nujel'm Empire will be an active observer. Sighing to herself she fears that under the guise of neutrality evil lurks to gain power. "If the past is any guide for us, then it will be so." Sarah softly whispers as she closes her writing tablet.

"Now to search for Rufus, I have not seen him since his departure before the Yew meeting started. Many things play upon his mind of late, he takes to the shore for walks to meditate." Getting up after securing her journal she goes out along the shore. Seeing the outline of the man she has bonded herself to she approaches from behind and slips her hand into his. Not breaking his stride he looks down and kisses the top of her head and continues on walking. Looking like any other couple in love at the shore they walk in silence.
