Dear Sir Thrax

I would like to appologize for the confusion and your treatment at the Royal Court meeting last Thursday night. My intention was to allow you to speak to those members of the Court. You spoke and answered questions and were interupted by the words of the duke of Yew.

He spoke of you being accused of kidnapping in Yew. I personally knew of the circomstances as the one that was kidnapped was to be the Judge in the trial of Isk. I must say that the other members of the Royal Court were unaware of my knowledge of the crime you are accused of.

I can assure you, if I had heard in all the confusion as was just this eve related to me, that the duke demanded my action I would have tossed him out on his ear. I was under the impression that he was coming to the meeting as usual and that upon seeing you there asked for permission and requested the Luna Court to arrest you and extridite you to Yew for trial. This being said, I am penning a letter this very eve resigning from the Yew Commonwealth, on the grounds that I am noone's puppet and will not be a party to any such antics in the future.

I, in my dicision to call for your arrest, was thinking of many things.

One that you were accused and that I had first hand knowledge of the incident.

Two that should Yew be the one to arrest you, I could not be certain with their new laws that you would come out unscathed and if you were arrested here you would be assured of a fair trial with a jury of your peers.

Justice is one of the vurtues I hold dear and I am most concerned that justice be done. In that thought I came to the conclusion that an arrest was warented not just for the fact that you were accused but for the fact that without a trial you could end up the vitim yourself under Yew edict.

Please be assured that I am appologizing for the actions as a host to you at the Royal Court and my actions in no way reflect on the other members of that court. They were not a party to my mind when I made these choices and should not be grouped together with me in those choices.

I guarenteed your safety from harm and I did follow through with those including requiring all to disarm at the meeting. Being arrested or detained for questioning in the mind of this officer does not constitute danger and if you felt that it did I appologize for any misunderstanding.

Yours in Virtue,

*a letter of reply sent to Molly by Thrax*

Lady Molly,

I accept your apology. I know how difficult it can be to see and hear all that may transpire in a meeting where various opinions are expressed and where tensions between speakers may naturally develop. I also grant that you are sincere in your apology. Seeing this, I must, and shall, reassess my belief that you a vassal of the Duke of Yew. I was fairly sure he would be there, thus I came with sufficient escort to deal with him after the meeting, if necessary. When you ordered my arrest, I realized the peril of my condition (I was unarmored and unarmed personally and we were greatly outnumbered), and, to prevent further quarrel that might lead to bloodshed (my escort desired to defend me to the death), I exited quickly.

Whether this was actually a failed plot against me (and in such a case I am being naive here in giving you benefit of doubt that it is not) or simply the result of confusion and miscommunication as you say it is (and I accept your word that it is), your future conduct toward me and those I deem as friends, allies, and aides, will be the determing factor in whether or not you are a true follower of the virtues as you claim to be. Let that be the final judge but, from henceforth, let there be peace between us.

I hereby gladly restore my friendship to you and the Royal Council of Luna. Long may it prosper under your guidance.

Warmly,
Lord Thrax
