"At least the creaky floors gives notice of visitors" Zarlox thought to himself.
He sat in the second floor library of his old friends estate. This one, as many others throughout Sanctus had been abandoned for some time.
Rubbing his temples he thought of the happenings since his return. Secret meetings, the laying of plans, and trying to keep his return quiet for now. This was a far cry from the peacefull retirement he had envisioned during his journey home.

He had come to learn a number of troubling things in these few days, the least of which was that the woman he loved was engaged to another man. Worse still it was in a deal to "save" Sanctus, something she would not have had enter into if he had been there. He was numb with the pain it caused him.

Despite this, there were some promising discoveries since his return. Through a few meetings with old friends and leaders, he found that the true spirit of Sanctus still had a number of allies. Also that these allies were willing to join in an effort against the Skull. In fact, he had to tell them not to storm into the City and demand the Skull leave just yet. Zarlox knew the importance of showing the Citizens of Sanctus that it could stand on its own, and though have allies, not be completely dependent on them.

A knock at the door brought him back to the dimly lit room he was using as a headquarters. "Yes" he said.
A boy no older than 15 stuck his head in and with a nervous tone began "Sir, you have a visitor.."
"Send him in" Zarlox replied with a nod
"Time to get this thing rolling" he thought to himself
