Jarik grinned broadly to himself as he gazed from the roof of his new hall of learning. "Is it possible that my search is complete?" He muttered to himself in disbelief. Shaking his head he began to realize a change in his surroundings.

Colors became brighter and more precise. Sound became clearer and more distinct. Smells became stronger. Was his new training already having its desired effect?

He stopped grinning and looked thoughtfully toward the altar, recalling the words of the mysterious figure shrouded in shadow. The man had revealed an ancient and forgotten power to Jarik with the promise of, someday, challenging the Gods. "If this is the beginning," he laughed to no one in particular "I cannot wait to see where my studies lead."
