[Apolgy, this should have been done lastnight hehe]

If seeing Shadow Hall from the outside it would appear as if nothing was going on. For the first time in weeks, this was actually the case. The tower was nearly completely silent except for occational noises the servants made while completing their daily chores. Reminisence sat in the common room of her home quietly reading one of the many books in the series “The Travels of Fedoso”. She welcomed the peace of this night because it happened so rarely these days. All of the closed door meetings, the secret discussions, the letters sent in private had all come to a close, at least for now. Her plans had worked, things seemed to be working out in her favor; she could feel it. The clock in the corner of the room began to chime the hour, its bells filling the silence of the late hour in echoing waves. Closing the book in her lap being careful to make the page, set set it on the side table by her chair.

Briefly, she gazed around the room. She smiled slightly as she began to head up the stairs. The servants in the halls moved quickly out of her way as she continued slowly along her nightly path. They stood against the wall, seeming to her unusually unsettled. “Perhaps it was the scent of burning flesh creeping in over the waves of the ocean shore”; she thought to herself with a smile. She reached the door at the top of the stairs and opened it quitely. Moving through the room to yet another door, she opened it slightly peering in on the child in her care. The candle just barely flickering on the bedside table luminated just enough to see the child peacefully sleeping. Confident that the child was safe, and all was well she closed the door. After ordering the guards to remain nearby and keep their eyes ever watchful, her attentions turned to more important matters.

“Eponia”, she thought. Wondering if the cat had returned to the house, she checked all of her usual hiding places. She had no hopes of finding her precious cat, at least not in the house, she knew now where she must go. Rushing off she summoned her horse, grabbed up her cloak and headed out towards minoc with four guards trying desperately to keep up. It was only a short ride, so once she was about half way, she stopped and waited for her escort, letting them lead the way into the city which was surely in uproar by now, were there any survivors. They came upon the many tents lined up along the road and she had spotted Eponia there hiding by one of the trees. She called to her, as she hopped down off of her mount.....

Reminisence walked towards Eponia, the cat constantly meowing at her in a persistent manner. As she got closer the cat moved further away, taking a less known path closer into the town. Reminisence stopped and called to Eponia again, leaning down closer to the ground, trying to get the cat to come closer. Eponia moved closer to Reminisence, and immediately began to claw at her skirt, she decided it was best to follow the cat, knowing now that something was on her mind.

Eponia ran ahead quickly, almost too fast for the guards to keep up with the pace. Reminisence and Eponia moved silently in the darkness, once they reached the mines, Eponia was being more persistent than Remi had ever seen her, she seemed agitated. Remi followed her further and into one of the caves high up along the paths of the mountains. Once inside the cave, a wave passed through Reminisence, unsure of what lay before them, they ventured in further, Eponia insisting with each step as Reminisence kept asking her the same thing.

“What is it?” She asked Eponia

“*mew*” Eponia mewed in an almost harsh tone.

They continued further into the deep caverns of the mountain, the feeling of something near becoming stronger with each step. This feeling was now apparent to Reminisence as well, perhaps it was passed to her through her ever growing bond with Eponia. They had finally reached a small pathway inside the depths of the cave, just barely too large for the heavily armored guards to pass Reminisence and her cat had to continue the journey alone.

It didn't take long for them to reach the end of the passage, and to no avail it was a dead end, there was nothing visible to be causing this feeling passing through them both. Reminisence pulled a torch from her bag and lit it with a quick spell from memory. Holding the torch over the wall there still seemed to be nothing there. Eponia had begun digging at the wall at one small area with her claws. “hmm, so its in the cave wall?” she asked. Eponia only mewed at her and tilted her head. Reminisence nodded slightly, understanding the cat as she pulled her dagger from its slot in her bag and began chipping away at the cave wall.

Some time had passed as she continued chipping away at the wall of the cave, until finally an unusually large gem like stone had appeared just barely. Reminisence stepped back slightly as Eponia began to hiss at the wall. Reminisence examined it closer and heard “essence” in her mind, she looked to Eponia seemingly surprised. “Perhaps we should take it for further study. Hmm but is it safe?”. Eponia seemed unsure but did not make any attempts at stopping Reminisence from taking the gem like stone from the cave wall. Reminisence set it in her bag carefully after examining it briefly. She picked her dagger back up and continued to chip away at the wall. When she was finally sure she had taken all of the pieces, carefully secured in her bag, they headed on their way out of the cave.

Reminisence carried Eponia out of the cave and gathered the guards. “We're off to Umbra.” She summoned a gate to the outskirts of Umbra and they headed through the town, stopping only at the tavern a moment. Reminisence turned to the guards; “Remain here, I shall not be long. Remember this and fill in the remaining guards, No cultists are to enter within the city limits of Minoc, should you be found there, it shall be of your own accord, and you will suffer the consequences without the aid of the cult”. Still carrying her precious pet in arm, she headed off towards Charnel Hill.
