Dearest friend,

Thank you for your status report of the actual happenings within the Nujel’m Empire last night. Our meeting was not only informative but comforting to know I am not without allies and dear friends. I myself have drawn the same conclusions about the present situation and feel your assistance is needed more than ever. I am presently residing in one of the many houses my family owns and feel secure in the fact many, including Rufus do not know of its location.

Foremost as you have offered before, the protection of Ameer Najm is critical to the Empire and to his mother. His absence has caused me a great deal of suffering and I hope that soon a meeting may be arranged between us.

The changes in my mate that troubles both of us linger and make me hesitate to make contact. When I do, I wish to have you or someone you trust with me at my first encounter with Rufus. He is no longer the hu-man I knew and fell in love with, something has changed. Until I find what that is and the cause behind it I do not feel safe enough to be alone with him.

Please let me know when it would be convenient for you to arrange a time to accompany me on my visit with my son. So much time has elapsed and my heart needs to be refreshed.
