After the long night of talks and meetings, the dark paladin finally got the chance to escape back to his island home. Steping through the gate from the garden freehold, the man took in the fresh ocean air that wafed across the breaze.
Quietly the dark plate leggings dug into the carved sandstone steps as he made his approach to the house. He noticed that there had been some traffic in and out as of late. Certain markings upon the door, the lock undone. Bringing a leather gloved hand to the kasa he brought the hat farther shadowing over his eyes as he walked on into the building.
Within the hall he could already smell the scent of others that have been in his home. A familiar yet unknown scent. Yet faint and ageing, a sign that the person.. or persons..have come and gone.
Arakad quietly made his way across the carpeted floor, coming upon the desk he had noticed that his journal was open, fliped to a mid entry of several days ago. He gave a bit of a snort as he snaped the book shut. Looking around once more for any other sign of presence but finding nothing but the tumbling of dust and wind across the hard wood floor.
Once satified that he was alone, the dark paladin slid into the wooden chair and picked up the quill and parchment starting a new letter.
Lady Mia Stormcrow
"I hope this letter finds you well; As requested I managed to gain an appointment with our friend, the claimed Consul of Nujel`m. After our long talk, and idle conversation, she did agree to meet with you on your terms for discussion, I also have requested that I may attend this meeting, as advisor and citizen of the island nation. Should you require any other assistance from me, please do not fret to ask."
Arakad
Blackguard Commander of the Dragoons of the Sleeping Dragon.
Once finished with the parchment, Arakad turned to the window in the next room, where perched upon the window seal watching the dark paladin, sat a large silver feathered eagle. The bright eyes watching every move its keeper made as the man tied the rolled parchment to the birds harness.
Arakad whispered soft words to the breeze and gave a low nod, as the bird spread its wings in flight for Malas. "In the mean time Arakad gave a soft mutter "I need to look into getting new locks on that bleedin` door. As the man turned to head for town in search of a tinker. |
