Reaching into her backpack Brianha scooped up the little squirrel Cecil that she had been given temporarily by the Druid Maelwyn. She tossed her pack to the floor and placed the squirrel on her bed so that she could sit at her writing table.

My dearest love,
I fear that this letter is not one of the heart but rather one of business. I have been meaning to speak to you but have not as yet had the opportunity to do so with the planning of our wedding consuming our thoughts. I had the privilege of meeting a group of druids at the Lodge two days ago. It seems there has been a demon that has found its way to their lands and poisoned them. I was very sad to see that even the beauty of their lands is being affected. They were most interested in the ceremony that took place at the Lodge a week or so ago and were looking to find who might have been responsible for the ceremony. I did not have great detail to supply to them but I had seen you speaking with them and so I told the Druids I would seek your aid in the matter. If you could meet with them or send them information, I have on my possession one of their trusted squirrels (Who by the way is very cute and I have had a hard time not spoiling the little fella) and could send him to you for use in the matter so that you may have communication with them. I will be looking for your response in the matter so that we might be of some help to these kind people.
I love you always,
Brianha

She rolled up the letter, tied it and sent it off with her pigeon. Then she turned to her bed and smiled watching Cecil tearing up her quilt. "I suppose I should find something for you to do instead of demolishing the house". And with that she picked him up and went outside to play with him giggling as he crawled up her arms and behind her neck.
