Filled with anger and frustration, Vaen left Poet's and headed towards Destard. How could this have happened? Brianha lost her memory. But how, why, and who? These thoughts were constantly running through Vaen's mind. He tried to hold it together infront of Claudette while at Poet's. She was completely in tears. "She's the only family I have!" Claudette told Vaen.
Vaen shook his head and glanced inside the cave. Last time he was here, he was nearly eaten by several dragons. This time, however, he wished bigger game.
Stepping inside the cave, Vaen heard the cries of pain from several dragons. Seems as though someone else was here, collecting the hides from the great beasts. He noticed the figure in a distance. Its shape was oddly familiar, but Vaen didn't think twice of it, and headed quickly to the northwest part of the dungeon, where he then descended down to the Ancient Wyrm's lair.
Glancing around the area, Vaen spotted a very large shadow in the back. This is what he was looking for. Gripping his bone harvester tightly, he began running towards the figure.
The creature must have noticed him right away, as it stood up, nearly doubling in height from what Vaen originally had estimated. Stopping quickly in his advance, Vaen moved backwards as the wyrm moved towards him. Vaen quickly prepared a spell, and shot a fireball towards the wyrm. As the fireball hit the wyrm, it seemed to barely hurt it. The wyrm didn't flinch, nor did it stop in its advance. Vaen, now believing he has bit off way more than he can chew, started running backwards towards the exit. Before he could reach it, the shadowy figure (which now took the form of a horrific beast[necro spell: big blue monster]) from upstairs descended to the level and blocked Vaen's path. Confused, Vaen tried to move past it, but the beast would not let him pass. Vaen turned towards the charging wyrm. Thinking quickly, Vaen charged back and ran under the wyrm, grabbing onto it's tail.
The wyrm began spinning, frantically trying to get Vaen off its tail, but he held on for dear life. The wyrm then began to swing its tail at the cave walls. Not wanting to be smashed between the tail and the wall, Vaen quickly crawled up its tail onto the wyrm's back. Grabbing for his bone harvester, Vaen quickly swung it down onto the wyrm's back, and used it to help him crawl up to the wyrm's neck, where he grabbed onto.
The wyrm was now running all over the place in attempts to get Vaen off of it. Vaen jumped back onto the wyrm's back, using his bone harvester to slice into its back to hold Vaen in place. The wyrm cried out in pain, as it continud to dance around the area to get Vaen off of it. Vaen then sliced down the wyrm's back with the harvester, creating a large gash as blood began to pour out of it. Vaen then placed his hand inside the gash and began to mutter the words "Vas Flam" over and over again, as he summoned fireballs inside the wyrm. The wyrm cried out in horrible agony, as his insides began to burn. "Vas Flam!!" Vaen yelled one final time, as the wyrm fell to its side. The smell of burnt wyrm intestines filled the area. Vaen then walked towards the exit to head back to the upper level of the dungeon. This time, no beast.
Vaen shook his head, not knowing who it was that blocked his path. But he quickly recalled out of the area, leaving a bloody, burning mess that was once an Ancient Wyrm behind. Now that his frustration has been taken care of, for the most part, it was time he began working on ways to reverse this memory loss situation Brianha seemed to have put herself in. _________________
