Deciding it would be wise to bring Brianha back to where she left her friends, a gate opened and Cein carried Bri through. Breathing in deeply Cein plastered a look of worry on her face and walked into the Freehold. Seeing Brianha’s friends still sitting at the same table she urgently called to them. “Help”. Claudette looked up and saw her cousin seemingly lifeless in the womans arms. She jumped up and rushed towards Ceinwyn.
“What happened?” Cein looked down sadly, “She slipped on a patch of ice and I could not catch her. She will not wake”
Others started to gather and they decided it would be best to lay her down and so she was carried to a room where there was a bed. Hugh instantly took charge of the situation and called out for those around to fetch the things he would need to help her. Taking off his smoking jacket he kneeled down next to the bed and touched her forehead feeling for signs of injury. Brianha lay lifeless to his touch. Hugh realized it was worse than he feared and began chanting in a soft Gaelic brogue. No one seemed to notice as Cein slipped out with a smile on her face.
While Hugh was doing everything in his power to heal and pray for her, Brianha could hear the sounds of his pleas splitting through her head. Everything was so loud. She moaned and put a hand up to her head trying somehow to ease the pain inside. Gingerly opening one eye at a time she saw strangers all around. Somehow it made the pain worse and she rolled over holding her head to stop it all. Nothing was working and she needed to stop the noise. Opening her eyes she looked around confused.
“Are you ok cousin?” Claudette looked at her with concern.
Bri had no idea who this woman was that was claiming to be her cousin. In fact she had no idea who she was and felt panic rise to her throat. She realized she was lost somehow with no knowledge of even herself. “I am sorry” she said through tears. “ I do not know who you are” This set a look of extreme worry on Claudette’s face and she turned to Hugh. Hugh was exhausted after being drained physically from healing her and decided that since she would live she just needed rest for now and they would deal with the rest in time. Hugh handed Claudette some things to care for Brianha “take her temperature every twenty minuets and keep a close eye on her, I need to go recover for now” He slowly made his way out the door as the energy to move took everything he had. Claudette turned to Lord Flair and started to cry. “We must find Vaen” she told him. Brianha did not know who any of these people were or who the mentioned person was. Seeing her confusion Claudette explained that Brianha and Vaen were to be married. This set a look of panic on her face as she was disturbed that she could not even remember the man she was to marry. The pain began to take over again so she closed her eyes and rolled over to shut it all out… “this has to be a bad dream”. Feeling the darkness take over Brianha began to fall asleep again.
Claudette decided to go find their guild master Max.. “He will know what to do”. So she asked Lord Flair to stay in her stead as she rushed out in search of Max.
