Dearest Martin,

I fear bad news comes to you in this letter. I know that you know I hold the hand of Evil laggings and what they mean. Isk discovered it the night of the ball at the first of the year we hosted together, before the return of Ragnar.

Isk has come several times to gaulk at the leggings and threatened dire conciquences. With Ragnar gone again he has threatened me many times but I just waved him off. He has followed through with his threat but not against me...against our daughter Malta... He had taken her hostage until I give him the leggings. I fear for her life. Will you meet with me please as soon as you get this.

*she sprinkles drying powder on it and blows it away. There are obviously tear stains that acompany the writing on the parchment. She rolls it up and slips it into the cylinder to be sent and she begins to write then next letter*
