Leading the caravan from Luna to Sanctus Charles smiled to himself as the tops of Blackguard came into view. It had been a difficult decision for him to make, to sell the business his grandfather had founded to this group of investors. Charles was sure his father wouldn’t understand, in fact, he was probably turning over in his grave right now. It might not have been the "right" thing to do from his their point of view, but from his, it was something he could not pass up.

The group had approached him a couple of weeks ago. Their representative had offered him a large sum of money to buy the family business. This in itself would have been reason to make him think about it. This group however had promised he would remain here to run the day to day operations of the company, though they would provide the direction, and provide it with all the work it could handle. Though being skeptical at the time, he finally agreed to their terms.

The group had not informed him just how they would keep the company busy until he had accepted their offer. As it would turn out, this group had acquired a large number of plots inside the City of Sanctus that they wanted either renovations done on, or brand new buildings built. This along with the contracts for renovation they had gotten from several citizens there, would not only be enough to keep him and his men busy, but put "Shining Path Enterprises" on the map. Sure, he might not own the company or call all of the financial shots anymore, but he was still proud of where the business his family had started was heading.
