What a perfect scene.

....He thought to himself

The hour was late and all was still. A full moon was setting just above the treeline and not a cloud hung in the sky. Despite the full glint of the moon, the sky land remained eerily dark. Everything that was alive and had common sense was fast asleep.

Reaching his hand in front of him, waving it in a ceremonious fashion, the doors of Talon's former office parted and Bailos stepped out of the space he had now laid claim to. What was once Talon's was now his; Kingdom, office and home. Descending the marble steps, his robes flowing behind him, he took the corner to enter Blackguard's lauded throne room. Centering himself in front of the large port window that opened the throne room to the outside world, surveying Sanctus, he stopped and slowly turned and looked up the aisle.

At a painfully slow rate of speed, his right hand slid up from his side to reveal the glinting blade of a most perfect axe. A weapon relic from the Hand of Evil. Slinging it over his shoulder, he rested its divinely crafted hilt on the crook betweek shoulder and neck. Inhaling deeply, enjoying the moment...he savored the role he was about to play in this world's history.

With an enormous sense of pride and dignity, he grabbed the axe firmly with both hands and held it in front of himself. Turning the blade to the side to gaze over it's broad edge and craftsmanship, he further soaked in the moment. The perfect moonlight shone through the window of the castle, directly over Bailos' shoulder and illuminated the edge, casting the most eerie of light on the face of the usurper-king.

"Who am I to stand in the way of destiny?", he reminded himself, cracking nothing short of an unsettling grin.

Spinning the axe around once in his hand, he felts its ancient pull once more as he had so many years ago on the frozen soils of Caina, and it whispered to him in silence. Silently, Bailos and the axe sat in conversation. No words were exchanged but their bond went deep. The Axe spoke to him, and he listened. Destiny spoke to him, and he listened.

Suddenly, with resolute confidence, Bailos turns the axe, cocks it back and hurls the weapon with full force down the center aisle of the throne room and it's devil born blade splits into the throne, sinking deep.

Come for me, fate, or I will come for you...
