Like most stories i will begin where it all started. born to a family on the eastern coast of makato-jima. my fathers name was derrick eugene kromwell,a traveling merchant. derrick often would leave home for months at a time for various buisness trips. my mothers name was samantha koreen kromwell, a seamtress for a local tailor. i never really spoke much as a child, this is the reason many people have given me the nickname silent. I grew up hanging around the different shops observing the daily lifes of the various shopkeepers. one shopkeeper,a local alchemist befriended me at a early stage in my life. he would spend hours at a time showing me the different reagents and there uses in which you can grind them down into various type of potions. i was intrigued and listened closely to every word he spoke. by the time i was only 15yrs of age i had already began to be able to make some of the more common potions from curing to healing different symptoms. it was around this time that my parents told me of news they were thinking of moving away. i couldnt believe it after spending so much time on the island i wanted to question why they were in such a hurry to leave. but i knew it best not to question my parents for they were the ones who brought me into this world. i was filled with great sadness to leave the place i called home for so many years. the following day i made my rounds saying my goodbyes. As i stepped into the mage shop i moved slowly hoping that time would stand still and i would not have to leave my friend and mentor. there he was in the back of the shop grinding away. by the smell of it i knew he was working on nightshade. i hesitated at first but quickly regained my courage and walked over to my old friend. i spent the whole day telling him about the things my parents had told me. before i knew it the sun was already setting and the streets were beginning to empty, i said my farewells and made my way home.

years later........

i stepped off the ship and looked around i knew i was home once again. i could remember it like it was only moments ago. i gathered my belongings and gave the ship captain a few amethysts for letting me be a passanger on his ship. i had recently purchased a home on the northern outskirts of zento. i settled in to my new place and began setting up shop i knew i would be busy over the following months but i felt it would be well worth the effort. i thought to myself "perhaps after some sleep i will go visit some of the shops and see what has changed"
