She finishes reading the letter from Corzan and rushes to the desk in her room at the lodge and writes a note to Nico. Her hand writing is shakey at best. She gathers what things she can throw in her backpack and gets a pigeon out of the coup on the roof. She sends the short note to the wind attatched to the birds foot. She then rushes out into the breaking dawn headed to Nico's house. Her eyes dart back and forth as she journeys there.

My darling Nico,

How are things going on your hunt? I miss you so much, I am going to stay at the house until you return. I don't feel comfortable at the Lodge any longer. Nothing to worry about, I just feel safer at the house. I am fine.

When do you think you will get home? I will watch for you.

My undying love forever,

Maggy

As he was settling down for the night, Nico heard some movement in the bushes to the side of his camp. Always cautious when hunting brigands and orcs, Nico took no chances. He sprung from his bedroll and drew his katana in one swift motion.
He relaxed and laughed at himself when he realized it was just a bird coming to rest on a branch. As he turned to go back to his bedroll he realized this bird had a message tied to its leg.
Carefully approaching so as not to spook the bird he removed the message and began to read.
“Well looks like it’s time to go home early” he said to the bird as he turned to start gathering his equipment. With a message like this it can only mean something has gone wrong at the Lodge again. Between the vampires and the death threats she got maybe it was time for him to stop hunting monsters and just open a tavern of his own. “It seems if you serve booze the trouble comes to find you,” he said to the bird as he finished jamming the remainder of his gear in his backpack.
As Nico grabbed Mysts bridle and started to walk in the dark towards a local moon gate he thought to himself, “I didn’t even have time to shop on this trip. I hope she doesn’t mind me coming home empty handed.” “At least if she’s at my house I know she’s safe” Victoria was a hell of a bar brawler and she had the support of the local gypsies; they would be fine till he made it home.
