Penny and the other members of Sanctus went searching for James M'real in the deserted city of Rivendell. They all scattered around the ruins of the buildings searching quickly. All but Spawn who seemed somewhat upset since he arrived to Rivendell. He slowly entered a building that was halfway destroyed which was the remains of the former Hungry Halfling Tavern. He closed his eyes, picturing all the people of the city sitting all around him drinking ale, singing songs, and having a good time.
Spawn quickly opened his eyes and saw nothing but a tavern with dirty tables, dusty mugs, and ruined bar stools. He slowly walked out of the Halfling and headed towards the field to the north. When he reached the field, memories of the knights of Rivendell training with the sounds of weapons clashing against shields and armor went through Spawn's mind. He kneeled down slowly and with his hand dug some of the dirt on the field beneath his feet. The wind started to blow a bit which caused some of house signs on nearby buildings to make some noise. He raised the hand that held the dirt and slowly let the dirt drop out, watching it blow away.
After standing back up to his feet, He started to walk around the rest of fallen city that was once Rivendell with his cloak and sleathed sword being shaken around by the wind. Spawn stared at every building he past feeling more and more lost. He stopped in front of this one building that had a smith shop sign on it. It was the Dragon's Breath Forge that was run by the famous Zym Dragon. Maybe Spawn would find his friend that he knew for so long. He entered the building and looked around slowly.
Spawn was disappointed when he found the Dragon's Breath Forge which was once so full of life was now a mere shadow of it's former self. The place was deserted and ruined like the Hungry Halfling. He started to walk towards an empty throne in the back of the shop, slowly sitting on it and placing his hand over his face. The emptiness of this city finally got to him. This city was once his home, his life, his past and it was nothing more then a ghost town now.
Spawn stood up from the chair and slowly paced around the shop examing all the items on the countertops. He finally stopped in front of an opened book with its contents unreadable from the dust. Slowly reaching into his pocket he took out what seemed to be a guild badge of some sort. He held the badge which had the abbreviation "KoR" on it close to his side. This badge was the one he wore when he commanded the Knights of Rivendell some time ago.
"Rest in peace General Spawn..." He said as he placed the guild badge on the page that the book was opened to. Spawn finally came to realize what he never thought was possible that Rivendell was gone. He closed the book on the badge and began to walk out of the Forge. Outside in front of the ruined smith shop, he took one last gaze around with a saddened look on his face.
"Farewell... Rivendell it was an honor to serve you" He said. Spawn then opened his runebook and said the magic words for recall. He then disappeared from Rivendell back to Sanctus. _________________
