Greetings,

I hope this letter finds you and yours in good health and spirits.

I am Lord Thrax, present Archon of the township of Papua, Trammel. I have been duly elected to that position and have been active at it for about three months.

It is my sincere wish to establish a formal relationship with your government as soon as possible. I wish to do this so that we may both benefit from an alliance and trade between formally recognized governments and their respective territories.

I have copies of the constitution which I will be glad to present to you on the occasion of our meeting which will reveal our plans for Papua's government. It is my intention to bring the town out of its present, under-developed state, into a society resembling that of larger, more developed and prosperous cities.

If you are willing to discuss this with me, please send word in reply to this letter as soon as you may.

May those or that which you venerate shed grace upon thy rule.

The letter arrived by messenger as she was preparing her doccuments for the trial. She accepted it from the messenger and told him to see the cook in the kitchen for a bite to eat. He bowed and headed down the hall to the teleporter and up to the second floor.

She placed the letter on top of her other papers and opened it. She took a long sip of her tea and began to read. She nearly choked on her tea as it went spraying across the papers and other items on the desk.

"And what does he think we are fools?!" She laughs and shakes her head. "After all he has done to those we know and he wants us to accept his rule? He must be as mindless as Balios and his folly in Sanctus." she commented to herself.

She takes up her favorite quill, dipping it in fresh ink and begins to write a responce. She taps her chin and decides she will hold off and talk to the Royal Court on Thursday to see if they have any answer for him as well.

As the Messenger returns to the hall she tells him there will be no responce at this time. She hands him a small bag of gold coins and sends him on his way. She then begins to sop up the mess from the tea with a rag.

After making sure the messenger is well fed and given room at the inn, Tai takes the letter back to their quarters and he and his wife read it together.

He then takes out his inkstone and parchment.

Although I have not travelled to Papua in many seasons. I hope the lands still appear as rustic in their customs and townspeople used to be.

We in Tokuno are not adverse to opening diplomatic relations. However, we would have to meet face to face to discuss much further.
