Acceptance into the Heralds of the awakening will begin one's process in joining the knights of our order.

The process will begin as described below.

1) A person is recruited into the HoA and becomes a Herald., this person will begin general studies of the virtues under each Sage. It is wise for the knights of this order to learn as much as possible about each virtue, and to personalize how this virtue relates to Valor.

2) The person in question completes general studies and decides that he wishes to become a knight within our order. This person will request and audience with the Sage of Valor and will discuss what that person has to offer the knights of our order.

a) This person will have 2 courses of actions at this juncture

i) He will be accepted into the order as a Page and will continue his studies under the Sage of Valor

ii) He will be requested to complete more studies in the general pool of Heralds and learn more of each of the virtues.

3) The Page

a) Responsibilities of the Page

i) The Page will be assigned to a Squire who will teach this person in the basic principals of Valor, under the guidance of the Knights, the Sage of Valor and the Oracle of Courage.

ii) These Teachings will be included under the responsibilities of the Squire iii) He will also have a limited requirement with the knights in combat, aa) This will include actual combat, under direction of a Squire bb) He will be required to help the Heralds of Valor in getting equipment for combat.

iv) He will be required to attend seminars that will be arranged by the Sage of Valor on each of the different Virtues.

b) Promotion to Squire.

i) For the Page to be promoted to Squire he will be required to meet the following:

aa) He will need to be versed in each of the virtues esp. Valor.

bb) He will need to have the recommendation of the Squire that he was assigned too.

cc) He will be required to request an audience with the Sage of Valor for a discussion of the virtues, and the responsibilities of the Page.

c) If the Sage of Valor feels that the Page is ready to teach and be promoted the Sage of Valor will be allowed to do so within this order.

4) The Squire

a) The Squire will be assigned to a Knight who will continue his education in the virtue of Valor, under the direct guidance of the Sage of Valor and Oracle of Courage.

b) He will have 2 Pages under his supervision (if Possible), and will be responsible for orientation of this member into our order, and will instruct him in the virtue of valor, and the art of war.

c) He will continue his education in the other virtues by attending seminars on the other virtues that will be arranged by the Sage of Valor.

d) He will be required to undertake combat that is currently being undertaken by the HoA

i) This will include combat and the leading of Pages under him.

ii) He will also assist with equipment needed by the Heralds of Valor

iii) He will take command from a Knight in combat, and follow it to the best of his ability

e) Promotion to Knight

i) The Squire will need to be well versed in each of the Virtues and how they play an important role with Valor.

ii) He will be required to have the recommendation of a Knight for the promotion to knight.

iii) He will be required to attend special functions and assist HoA with needs that have been presented to the Heralds of Valor

aa) I.e.… Required to defend the temples, or attend a meeting as guards and protect that meeting as needed.

iv) Upon meeting these requirement he will be required to write a treatise on valor and what it means to him, then request an audience with the Sage of Valor to discuss this treatise and how valor has played a role in his life.

v) If the Sage of Valor feels he is ready he will request an audience on the Squire's behalf with the Oracle of Courage.

aa) The Sage of Valor will send his treatise and a request to the Oracle of Courage with the reasons why he feels this person is ready to become a knight within the Heralds of Valor.

bb) The Sage of Valor and the Oracle of Courage will meet with the Squire and discuss with him the requirements of the Knight within the HoA

cc) The Oracle of Courage will decide if the Squire is ready at this point to accept Knighthood within the HoA and the Sunday after this meeting takes place he will be knighted by the Oracle of courage in the Counselors guild in Serpent's Hold.

5) The Knight

a) The Knight is the embodiment of Valor; they have completed all levels of training and studies of each virtue and the role they play with Valor.

b) He will be directly responsible for 2 Squires, and the Pages under the Squire

c) He will direct the training of the pages and squires under him.

d) He will take his Squires on missions to each of the cities and player run establishments to speak of valor, and the Heralds of Valor.

e) He will direct missions assigned to him by the Sage of Valor, These missions may be the Sages or a request from another part of the HoA

aa) example, The Sage of Valor has reports of Murderers attacking the innocents at the Serpent's Cross Tavern, The Sage could request one of the knights or more, to lead a contingent in to help the Yew Militia with the Removal of the Trouble.

bb) The Sage of Justice Requests the Oracle of Courage to provide members to Help provide Security at a Trial, The Sage of Valor will ask a knight and his contingent (or more if necessary) To assist the Sage of Justice by providing this security.

f) He will continue studies of the virtues, and with assistance of each of the Sages for continuing the education of the Pages and squires under him in their studies of each of the Virtues

6) The Sage of Valor

a) The Sage of Valor will be responsible for the teaching of the virtue of Valor

b) He will assist the City of Jhelom to make a city council for that area.

c) He will assist all Sages in their duties, and will support them whenever he can.

d) He will assist all Sages with providing Knights to defend their cause and their persons that are involved with their cause.

e) He will lead and train the Knights within the HoA

f) He will upon request of another Sage come and Discuss with their members the virtue of Valor and what role it plays with their virtue.

g) He will take regular journeys into the land to promote the HoA, and the Heralds of Valor.

h) He will be required to attend all meetings of the Sages as possible and help to lead the HoA into the future.

i) He will be required to take direction from the Oracle of Courage and assist the Oracle of courage whenever requested.

j) He will speak of Valor to all the Establishments with the blessings of the Oracles.
