The Staff of the Scholomance is composed of three branches. The Scholars, who are researchers affiliated to the Scholomance, responsible to run projects and experiments; the Deans, heads of each Sphere of Knowledge, in charge of running and administrating the Institute; and Teachers, who run classes and audiences to the students. The Scholomance is presided by the Head Dean, who coordinates the three branches.
The Scholomance Scholars
-The Senior Scholar- The interest coordinator is also a Dean. His function is to elaborate and make viable the events, quests and projects that are financed and sponsored by the Scholomance. The Interest coordinator is also the Senior Seer, working directly with the team of actors that will work monthly to create festivals and plots to students and the general public. This job is appointed by the Head Dean.
-The Lore Master- The Lore Master is the Scholomance's recruiter in duty. The filler of this position must be an excellent role-player, and must enjoy walking throughout Britannia and socializing in all aspects. The Lore Master's work is to recruit new adepts to our cause, but overall to bring in the youngs and new players that need a purpose in Sosaria. The Lore Master’s job inside the Scholomance is to ensure that all students are satisfied and to listen to their opinions and suggestions, as well as creating a better link between our Staff and the Students. The Lore Master is selected through an application process.
-The Seers or Scholars- Seers are graduated students, deans, teachers or scholars who have shown a great potential of role-playing and who are willing to volunteer to the Scholomance Interest Project to work as workers and Troubadours. The selection process will be very refined, and we intend to enlarge the scope of the project if it succeeds. Seers will be responsible to attract interest towards the Scholomance on a wider base. Seers must be graduated.
'The Scholomance Teachers
-The Teachers- Certain positions do not require complete scholarly mastery, but knowledge on the issue. Certain members also do not wish to dedicate their time to anything other than teaching classes. Teachers are also separated by subjects, and answer to Deans of their areas. Teachers are selected through an application process. Teachers must be graduated in the field of knowledge of their selection.
-Guest Speakers- At certain times, ones of great knowledge from outside the Scholomance will be asked to speak on various subjects. These ones are to be treated with the same respect as any other staff member by the Students.
The Scholomance Deans
-The Head Dean- The Head Dean will preside the Scholomance in audiences, conferences and meetings. He will be responsible for the Code of Rules of the School, to which all Deans, Teachers and Students are bound. The Code of Rules can be amended in the Monthly Staff Meeting. Only the Head Dean may announce any modifications made to it. The Head Dean will also be responsible to interview new candidates for the Staff, to schedule and announce the dates for meetings, classes, or practically any event. The Head Dean is also the treasurer, and keeper of the school funds. The Head Dean can be removed in a special audience if there is a unanimous vote by the Deans vote abdication, or through the Lich Lord's direct command.
-The Deans- The coordination staff of the Scholomance. Deans are knowledge masters of a certain scientific subject. As the Scholomance directs its volunteers to limited subjects, only scholars of specified areas may apply. Learned individuals of other areas may become affiliated but will not be able to teach regular classes. The fields of knowledge are discussed later. Deans may be teachers, but not all teachers need to be Deans. Decisions in the Scholomance are made in the Monthly Staff Meetings when topics are brought in by the Head Dean for voting. The Deans are also researchers and project leaders. It is up to them to keep their area of influence in activeness and gain new adepts in the school. Deans are selected through an application process. Deans interview new teachers of their area upon application. Deans must be graduated in all fields of knowledge of their circle.
-The Masters- Applicants to Dean positions in certain areas of knowledge. If that area has already a Dean affiliated to it, the applicant may still be bound to the school as a Master of that given subject. They may or may not teach classes, and this position is filled in a hierarchy. The First Master of a subject will replace the Dean in case of absence, the Second Master fills in for the First, and so on. Masters are selected through an application process. Masters must be graduated in all fields of knowledge of their circle.
