Greetings,
I have received your letter, and though I would dearly love to give you Nystul's Orb, I am afraid this action would be contrary to my plans for Moonglow. You see, the Orb is blanketing the island in an anti magic field. This field is necessary to dampen the Council's magics, and allow us to destroy their bases. Without the Orb in position on the amplifier, we would be playing a game of eternal whack-a-mole.
In the interest of purging the Council, I fear I must decline your request.
I will however, fulfill my promise to Korloth. He can expect to see a book detailing the locations of several Council bases. I gave him the smaller ones. As life begins to stretch into centuries, there are few pleasures to keep ones passion alight, and I feel the need to keep the pleasure of destroying the Council's primary bases a personal one.
