What was his original crime?

It appears Al went a bit crazy and would not stop talking about his "Archlich" master and so he was placed in jail.

How did he get out of jail?

It appears that someone smuggled in a magic lock spell to Al and he unlocked the door using the smuggled spell Where did he escape to? It appears someone also got Al a gate scroll spell with a cultist letter instructing him to go to specific coordinates. 100,11 degrees North 167,33 degrees West Just west of Deceit entrance turn in.

Whom does he serve?

He serves the Archlich Jou'nar whom he believes will be making a return to burn the world down like Trinsic did in the past. it puts a bad taste in my mouth that someone trained and respected like Frederick the guard was so stumped, it was pretty apparant what the clues led us to. Someone needs to reevalueate the Trinsic guard roster ASAP.
