Author: Rizan
10:01: King Blackthorn arrives after the instability, commences meeting. He proposes to give the other Governors a few minutes to return.
10:07: King Blackthorn begins the meeting proper. He welcomes the established Governors as well as the new members and hopes that those assembled find satisfaction in serving their citizens. He hopes that the holidays were as joyful as circumstances allow, unfortunate as the continued undead invasion may be. Whether it's caused by a shadowy cult, the effects of Yuukburreez, a slimy megalomaniacal conglomerate or a crazed necromancer remains unknown. All leads must be diligently pursued.
10:11: Governor Rizan speaks for Yew. He begins by asking King Blackthorn to confirm at the start of this new session that the posted rules for the Governor's council regarding attendance and behavior still stand. His Majesty does so confirm. Next, Governor Rizan reports that defense continues against the Manifestations of Evil outside the city perimeter, and the periodic undead assaults within the city borders themselves. Thus far the orcs, brigands, raiders, and other assorted troubles that normally plague the area around the city do not seem to have taken advantage of the attacks to increase their assaults on the citizenry. His Majesty advises caution, as the walls have ears, and Governor Rizan affirms that the city guard and Yew Militia will remain on high alert against all threats, from within and without. Thirdly, with Governor Rizan's re-election, he plans to continue the Yew Needs You! and Made in the Yew Sword Armory (Made in the Yew S. A.) campaigns, though they have not proven overly popular to date. Next, Governor Rizan requests that the Governors post their city's trade deals on the Town Cryer, that the populace might more easily see at a glance what the trade deals are for the various cities, should they consider citizenship. The Governor wraps up by declaring his gratitude to the citizens of Yew for re-electing him to the Council for another term, and to the King for permitting him to serve with the other Governors. The city coffers remain at near capacity in spite of the undead assaults on the city. The Governor concludes his report.
10:20: Governor Tatiana Thorn speaks for Skara Brae. Skara continues to thrive despite the undead raids, and the citizens defend the city well. The Governor attempts to keep the citizens well supplied with repair deeds.Skara thrives and trades continue to climb. Governor Tatiana concludes her report.
10:25: Governor Rain speaks for Trinsic. She states she has a couple issues to raise this evening, though admits that the city's coffers are suffering due to the invasions of Trinsic. The Governor offers her hopes that a resolution for the invasions can be found soon. The Governor went to visit the High Paladin this afternoon at the Counselor's Guild, only to find that he was nowhere to be found. The Governor has the guards watching for the scorpion infestations that the city constantly battles. In spite of the defeat of the Scorpion Queen, they continue to trickle in. His Majesty offers to have General Rockwell look into the matter of the scorpions. Governor Rain declares her appreciation for His Majesty's offer, and concludes her report. Drusus offers to speak to Lady Rain after the meeting to pass information along to the General, which Governor Rain accepts.
10:33: Governor Toni McStravick speaks for Britain. She states that some buildings have been damaged as a result of the invasions, though repairs have been effected. The Governor extends her thanks to all those who have aided in the defense of Britain, as well as the other cities under siege. She extends also her gratitude to Governor Tatiana Thorn for generously providing repair deeds for the citizens of Britain. The Governor has noticed that as so many are fighting, trades have slowed somewhat; however, Krampus does not appear to have caused any surprise upsets over the holiday season. At this time, the coffers remain full. Governor McStravick concludes her report.
10:39: Governor Chromatic speaks for Minoc. He states his joy at being elected by his fellow Minocian citizens. He is handed a pile of treasure by someone in the crowd, and then announces that his first act as Governor will be to step down and appoint his friend, Draxsom Pri-Lem to the post. He states that the citizens of Minoc will be happy to have them represented by Draxsom, and concludes his report.
10:43: Governor Merlin speaks for New Magincia. He states his gratitude for being allowed to serve another term on the council. Unfortunately, the people of Magincia are concerned due to the recent instability across the lands. He concludes his report.
10:48: Governor Craig the Mongbat speaks for Jhelom. The Governor echoes the concerns that many other Governors have shared regarding the rampant undead in Jhelom. He states that on a positive note, the undead have given some of the more rowdy citizens something to hit other than one another, which elicits laughter from those assembled. The Governor mentions his desire to further the investigation into the matter of former Governor Ziggy this term. Given the undead incursions, it is difficult to pursue the investigation at the moment, though the Governor hopes the undead can be dealt with soon, and that then the matter of Ziggy can be brought to a conclusion once and for all. Those matters aside, Jhelom does well. Governor Craig concludes his report. 10:53: King Blackthorn states that the General hopes there will be a resolution to the undead woes soon. Governor Rizan mentions that the necromancer Zy'tor is still at large, and His Majesty implores generally that no one bite his dog, should he have one, or any companion animal.
10:57: His Majesty asks if the Governors wish to raise any final points and Governor Chromatic raises the issue of transfering authority to Draxsom Pri-Lem. His Majesty asks Governor Chromatic if he seriously intends to resign, and Governor Chromatic responds in the affirmative. He shakes a heavy coin sack at this point. Governor Thorn reminds the audience about her two weekly meet and greets that she holds: one on Monday in New Haven, and one by the West Britain Bank on Wednesdays, both at 9pm Eastern time. Governor Rizan asks if Governor Shadowyke and Lord Cogniac may be excused for their absence, since both were present at the customary start time prior to the instability of the evening rendering those in attendance inert. His Majesty states that they shall not be penalized due to the instability.
11:08: His Majesty states the next meeting will be Sunday, February 16th, rises to head to Minoc to transfer Governorship, and adjourns the meeting. Scribe's Note: This was a time of great instability in the lands. Connecting to the world was difficult and was often interrupted; those who could not return for the meeting but were present at the start are excused their absence.
