Not much is known about these enigmatic and truly frightful beings. It is said that they existed before the time of Mondain himself, and have disappeared into the darkness of shadows upon his death, never seen in the world since.

Mind Whippers are said to resemble humanoids in body, but have the head of an upturned squid. Their visage is so horrible that those who have glimpsed upon them have gone mad. So it is said.

Through the rumors and speculations, one defining attribute remains consistent: Mind Whippers had the powerful ability to drain its victims of all mental energy, leaving a witless husk. This may attribute to the reason as to why there are so few rumored accounts of these beings.

If they truly have slunk away after the death of Mondain, then good riddance, for such terrible abominations do not belong in our world! However, they may still exist somewhere, and if that is the case, they could come back some day.
