Known perhaps as the greatest hero of our age, Humbolt gave his life to protect the citizens of Britannia from the liches, Lathiari and Kyrnia.

He joined the battle at the very beginning and fought till the last moment. It was the sage who discovered how the liches used a device to spray clouds of corrupted shrinestone to raise and control the dead.

Additionally Humbolt discovered how to destroy them perminently, by destroying their heart.

After concocting a potion to allow him to survive, Humbolt lead a group of adventurers to the bowels of the Dungeon Despise, where he devoured the poisonous liches hearts, bringing them to a final rest along with our beloved sage.

We could only pray he would be here with us again, providing counsel, and perhaps solutions to our dilema with the Followers of the Armageddon. Sage Winslow was named as his successor, and until undeniable proof was discovered, denied the existance of, and scoffed at the notion of the apocolyptic cult.
