Title: Inside a Person

Author: Poet

A long time ago my Master once told me that there are three sides to everyone person. There is the side of Light, then there is the side of Darkness, but the side many people do not look at is the Balance Light makes us good, Darkness makes us evil, but the Balance keeps everything in check. No one person can be completely evil nor can they be completely good. The light of pure goodness would destroy a man for none of us could stand to be perfect while the darkness would consume our souls. The Balance is very delicate as it keeps these two sides from fighting one another thus destroying the life they live in. Now it is common for one side to take control over the other but it needs the other side in order to survive. For what is it to be good if there is no evil and visa versa.

The balance holds these two together no matter what the strength of the other becomes.

When you look at a person take a look at his actions. The most vile of a person will still have a friend. While in battle he will save his partners life. Is that not a sign of compassion? And even the greatest people on the side of Light still show hatred and disgust towards the side of Darkness. Even though a man of light will preach about loving thy neighbor, they will draw a sword an cut down any man who is on the opposite side.

So what does this say about us all? It means there is no enemy save for the enemy inside ourselves.
