Title: Virtue

Author: Aeon

The prophesies fortell a time when one among us will follow the eightfold path of the virtues, to attain an enlightened state, becoming the 'Avatar'. It is written of ultimate wisdom that the eight virtues are composites of three fundamental principles; Truth, Love, and Courage.

These three combine to render all that is encompassed by Infinity, or, as is written in the ancient texts;

Principles:

In my journeys to 'Terark Skitas', the temple of knowledge, I discovered that the ancient ones also acknowledged another triad of principles, from which nine additional virtues emerge.

The three ancient principles are Chaos, Order, and Balance.

Chaos Virtues:

Tolerance, Enthusiasm, Emotion

Tolerance -

that which encourages acceptance of all things.

Enthusiasm - the energy that allows one to perform great tasks.

Emotion -

the ability to perceive those feelings that come from the heart, as opposed to those of logic.

Order Virtues:

Ethicality, Discipline, Logic

Ethicality

- the belief that there is value in abiding by rules of conduct.

Discipline

- the drive to complete a task and avoid the distractions that can prevent its completion.

Logic -

clear reasoned thought, free from instinctual biases.

Balance Virtues:

Harmony = Tolerance + Ethicality

Dedication = Discipline + Enthusiasm

Rationality = Emotion + Logic
