Title: BMC Member Handbook

Author: Grigg of Einhorn BMC

Welcome to the Britannian Mining Company

Established 1998 on UO and one of the oldest Guilds dating back to the PC version of the game. We hope you fly Guild Banner proudly.

This manual contains useful information that we hope will answer alot of your questions and provide information concerning BMC guild practices.

New Members Register

To ensure you are active, we ask that you register within one week by logging onto our forum at: htp://com4.runboard.cm /bbmcforum. Please sign up for this and post a simple 'hello' message so we know it's you. After that we will change your guild title to what you think best represents your character. But we do need to know who you are, so if your forum log in name is different then the character you guilded, let us know.

Characters that do not registered will be removed from the guild. This is just to keep our roster fresh, and know who really wants to participate.

All the pertinent guild information will be on the forum.

The BMC E-Mail

Send e-mail the guild at: bmcguild.

This goes directly to the President. Feel free to use what service you have, but you may want to create a separate account for Guild activities we suggest you log onto ww.yahoo.cm and create a new e-mail account that will be used solely for your characters in for this is because from time to time, we may want to send a MASS e-mail to guild members concerning important information in the guild, or you may wish to prevent people from accessing your regular e-mail, and Yahoo is free.

BMC Website

The BMC website is at: ww.geocities.cm/bmcguild /bmc.html Visit it soon to learn the structure of the guild and Guild Law.

BMCM

The BMC has a standing military. The Britannian Mining Company Military is a sister-guild that is under the Vice President of the BMC and is used in the event that the BMC declares war on a rival guild. The BMC and the BMCM are allied in time of peace and are not in time of war. This is to insure that the crafters are protected even if the BMC is at war through the BMCM. You may want your fighter/mage characters in the BMCM arm to help ensure the peace and safety of the BMC.

Guild Chat

Communication among Guild and Alliances via Guildspeak is easy and private to those in the guild or alliance. To speak in Guild Chat, type a shash (\) You should see the prompt "Guild:" appear in your lower left gamescreen, then type the message you wish to send and hit Enter. To communicate with the Alliance, press shift then slash (Shift \) and you will see the prompt "Alliance:"

BMC Capital

This is there core of the BMC. This location is where the Government is seated and the Officers have their offices. More importantly, it is where meetings and trials are heard. The BMC boasts the only functional government of all the guilds in UO. We hold all our Guild Members accountable to the same standard. If you have been wronged by another Member, or Alliance Member, you may bring them up on charges, a trial will be heard, and the judges will make a decision as to restitution. We frown on PvP activity without consent, but PKing is not tolerated. If you feel you have been mistreated, seek out an officer and report the matter ASAP.

There is a stable on the roof, please stable all pets when you enter.

Mentoring

We hope to provide mentoring for newer players who need to learn how to train or just get around in UO. If you have any ideas, let the Forum, or talk to whoever sponsored you into the guild.

Summary

Thank you for your joining our Clan. If you have any in-game questions or problems and can't find solutions, please go to post your question or try Guild Chat. We hope someone will help you. We have lots of friendly folks.

Good Journey:
