Dear Isk,

I have completed one of two tasks set before me. The she-elf from malas fell before my blade within Blackguard keep in Sanctus. I will begin my hunt for my second target. My proof is in the writing it self since I found it fitting to write this in her blood still left on Volatilis Nex.

Her head was still foggy from the poison as she sat up on the bed in the Hostel. Thanks to the innkeeper, she was recovering quite nicely but she had not been well enough to leave until this morning. For that matter until this morning she was in and out of conciousness.

The young woman that was tending her was new to employ at the hostel so she did not know who she was or her husband might have been notified. If he had she would have been moved to her own home. As it was she had her wits about her again and could get around so there was no need to worry with it now. She sent him a pigeon, he didn't even know she was there because he had been hunting all week in the outlands. It was a good thing, he was always trying to protect her, a full time job for any of her guards but he always wanted to be there for her. She loved him for it but he had enough trouble. Thinking it over she decided she had to tell him of the attempt though and to watch out for a man with a double edged staff type blade of some sort.

She stood, a bit wabbly, and headed for the door. She ran into a man that Tai had hired to do some work for him. He recognized her even in her desheveled state and greeted her. He asked her what happened and she told him some of what happened, but the fact was she could not remember much about the attack. Just that it was inside the castle Blackgard. They had vowed to enquire into the attack. He and his associate bid her good health and went about their business.

She thought that maybe she might remember more if she went back to where it happened. A spark of memory hit her as she stood in the corner of the third floor archway. He had talked about the weapon before he used it on her...the though of the poison racing through her made her shudder with the memory...what was the name...Volatilis Nex...that was it she though and nodded to herself. She went to find the men that she had talked to before to tell them what she remembered.

After talking with them she was still a bit wabbly so she returned to the Inn for a bit of hot tea. The innkeeper gave her some freshly baked muffins to go with the tea and a small bowl of peaches and cream. She was hungry which suprised her, a good sign she was on the mend.

While she was enjoying the small feast, she gathered her thoughts as to what she was doing before the attack. Things were left undone and she had other obligations to attend to...what was it she was doing she thought to herself. Then she remembered an errand she had to run. A friend was getting married. She had to go find a proper place for the wedding ceremonies. She went to the stables and mounted her hiryu, FlyingGauntlet for protection. She was not going to be caught off guard this time.
