Kelei rushed in the house, her mother turning to see her daughter come in breathless and excited. She looked like she had just been kissed. Merci arched an eyebrow in dissaproval but her daughters next words changed the subject quickly. Oh mother I met Mister Lestat! He's dreamy! Merci was once again taken off guard. What? What are you babbling about. She stared at Kelei's eyes they were a bit foggy. Merci smiled, I see the vampire has worked his charm.

Now Kelei who walked you home? Suddenly the haze in Keleis eyes dissapeared and she saw a flash of something else in her daughters eyes. Oh! Tyranis. Merci growled. She turned leaving the room her thougths swirling, she would deal with this later.

Keldril had left to attend some business of theirs on some of their other properties and had taken Kaleb with him to show him the ropes. She wished he was here.

She thought about Lestat and her agreement to donate part of herself so he could have a child. She smiled, a strong child, another for Umbra. Yet she was not willing to carry the child herself. She had to many duties to adhere to now. She wondered if he would agree to that stipulation. Kelei was right though, the new champion was indeed goodlooking, but more importantly a strong fighter, an asset to the realm. Merci let out a sigh, and she shook her head, she didnt have time for this!
