Not sure if this right place but anyone reciveing any icq messages from siaron or rellik delete it immediately his icq was hacked someone is seniding out links to everyone on his contact list

Apparantly, it is supposed to be a link to a stygian abyss promo trailor. DO NOT OPEN!

Just as an update on this topic, I have scanned my comp 4 times and once with Kaspersky and all scans show I am clean. This did happen as I was at work and wife was on comp playing game, she noticed my q shut down and it said another had logged in it so it had to shut down. I do not know how this happened but to any of u that may be affected by this my apologies. I had the wife try to put out a warning as soon as possible. I will be setting up another q number, to those that do have my contact please by all means remove it and do not respond to anything that comes from that Q.

I got that spoiler key logger thing from Valena's ICQ. This hacker must have gotten into her ICQ account.

Anyone who is infected, or thinks they are infected can PM me a HijackThis log, so I can see if there are any viruses or keyloggers running on their system.

Once it is downloaded, hit "scan and save log", then copy and paste the contents of the log into a PM and i'll check it out.

This one is fairly baffling. Follow Halister's instructions, he is probably more up to date.

My suggestions would be pcpitstop.com and trend micros Housecall, see if anything naughty is there.

I do have a question for the infected though; is your ICQ password autosaved, or do you type it manually every startup?

I am sorry if anyone got a link that was on my ICQ, that wasn't me whom was sending it out.. how this person got on my ICQ is strange to me..since everything is password autosaved *shrugs*

I've checked out a few logs and I've seen nothing wrong.

My best guess is that the page somehow uses a trick to detect your ICQ number by either adding a contact or something similar, then brute forcing the ICQ password, which can be simple due to easy ICQ passwords.

To be safe, run through a scan on: http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner as well.

The overall solution, don't visit unknown sites and make sure your ICQ password is strong.

I believe ICQ only allows you to use 8 characters or so. Your password should look like this preferably, to insure safety...
