Long Peace
A serpent coiled and wound its way through the forests of Yew, streaming through the moon gate; a serpent not of flesh and bone, but of men, horses, and steel. Banners and and pennants of all sorts dotted the rapidly growing camp of white-tents. The green colors of the Kingdom of Yew flew high above the solid structures of the rural town, while other nations’ colors adorned their respective areas: The white and gold intertwined rings of the Consensus of Light; a defiant golden wyrm on its field of black, Sanctus; the mailed fist of House Gauntlet; the white hand on its field of blue, Moonglow. It was even rumored that the colors of Umbra and the Dark Order were about the area.
These were strange times, and even stranger company. Yew was the heart of the Rebellion, as the movement was being called. Nations far and wide had answered the call to restore fair government to the lands of Brittania. Trammel was a powder keg as of late, and the long peace of recent times seemed ready to collapse into civil war. Lord Isk had assembled most of the Armor of Evil, a fact that made many of the lightbringers uneasy. Resolution was being attempted through diplomatic channels, but preparations for war commenced just in case.
Talon walked the docks, admiring the array of ships and their colors as he reflected on recent events. A great armada was being assembled from the patron nations of the Rebellion. Initially, Sanctus was wary of the current plan, having attempted it several times in the past. They would be blamed for the entire plot regardless if they were involved, so it was decided that they should not disappoint.
A caravan seemingly without end trickled out of the gate, bearing the finest of weapons and armor from Malas. The gear was distributed free of charge to any who needed it.
The more pressing matter at hand, for the King of Sanctus, was Lord Isk. The current Regency would not likely raise the sword, preferring to ignore the storm that raged about them. The armor of evil was almost assembled. Lord Isk was gathering allies onto himself, and time seemed to be running out. If the armor was completely assembled, the previous evils of Sosaria would pale in comparison to the carnage that would follow.
Sanctus scouts had been dispatched to Magincia under the cover of darkness, to begin reconnaissance. Talon dispatched his pen to parchment, hoping Lord Isk would come to reason instead of battle.

Drayden watched the lightbringer army mobilize from atop a hill. He recognized a few of the officers, especially Talon. The elf had a made a point to position his watchers around the various governments that seemed to be on the brink of war. Word came to him that Sanctus was in fact mobilizing.
He had no personal stake in this whole mess. That was the ironic part about it. His Order, officially deemed, Rutilus Mandatum(The Red Order) had no personal involvements in this fiasco. "The Order", which was it's common name only had it's faith that was in jeopardy. Dialmon was off handling parts of the delivery system that he and The Order had been working on. Perhaps this would foster better communication. Therian, "The Frozen Flame", stood beside him. No longer dressed in tattered clothing, he wore the gray robes of nuetrality and a cloak of blood red.
They just merely watched. As the Order had in generations past. Standing between chaos and light. Hoping to balance the situation as needed.
He was going to make a point of speaking to Talon, as he was one of the most prominent of the rebellion. But perhaps here, in such a open place it would be even more risky and he might actually incriminate himself as a "traitor". Were that to happen, the High Patriarch knew what he and his Order would have to do.
Looking to Therian he spoke quietly," Wait here Father. I must go speak to their leader. Do not worry, we are friendly." Therian made no reply, just merely nodded. He was definently old, and they had gone out on a limb taking Therian here. Hopefully there wouldn't be any problems. As a precautionary measure, Therian quietly masked himself with magic, invisible.
Drayden didn't even see the begining of this act, as he was already on his way down the hill. Having shed his colors and now wearing just his armor and weaponry. He slowly made his way to Talon.

Actually, Umbra had no camp in the overcrowded town of Yew, nor were there any ships in harbor belonging to the dark realm.
Amongst the trees, another figure watched the gathering, speculatively.
Ceinwyn ab'Arawn mused silently to herself. She wondered how much Molly knew of Isk's allies. Umbra was prepared to take on both Sanctus and the Gauntlet and come out victorious. Her latest paramour had unknowingly informed her about the changes to the Sanctan uniforms. This gave them an edge, especially when combined with the fact that anyone could watch Sanctus train for battle. Talon still would stand out from the rest of his army, in his black suit.
We will have to thank Malic later, though he won't know why, of course...
She turned and headed deep into the woods, toward the moongate. |

In his study, Tarothin mused over the words that Isk spoke to him the night before. He thought more and more on what was to come.
Perhaps I shall enter the fray myself instead of just sending Shadow Wraiths to kill from the shadows.
He cared not about this armor Isk wanted nor was he worried, but he was curious to know how this will shape the future. One, after recently finding out that it wasn't a dream anymore, that he has more of an interest in.
After all, there is much he wanted to observe before starting his own plans... |

Malic, Davaran and Roger had just returned from their mission and Malic dismissed and disolved the squad. A success! Malic went into the Jail to sit at his desk to begin making his report.
There are Two viable beach heads and one set of docks on the Isle of Magincia. First the docks: Wide and capable of landing several ships at a time, an assault would be easy with only the upward staircast slowing their pace. Second: an assault landing within inches of parlement itself. Take the main government building straight away! A simple largely undefended beach with access right into the structure. Third: A beachhead within ten yards of Lord Isk's home. Perfect to take his palace straight away but defenses will likely be difficult. The suggestion of this Officer is to assemble a large force and take all three simultaniously. Surely two victories of the three landings will happen. More likely would be landing at the parliment and the docks simultaniously due to both being on the southern shore. Attacking at these two spots and meeting between them would indicate a beach head being established and controlled. Control of half of the City would incur with this as well. Both the entrances to these spots have controled access to the city. Parliment a bridge and the docks the stairs.
Malic was trying through his office to establish some relations with all of the cities of Sosaria as usual but this time a mere Extradition agreement as a symbol of peace may not work. So far the Lord Regent has been not very peaceful and is outright defying justice itself by not even wishing to meet. Malic had secured agreement with Papau, and has had a long standing agreement with Umbra and Luna which are coming up for renewal. Perhaps he is trying to achieve the impossible but perhaps it will work even with a revolution. The good of the world is at stake, Malic will fight the good fight. War is old men talking and young men dying! Malic will try to fill both parts for his kingdom, his realm of Malas and all of Sosaria. _________________ The Light of Virtue Shines Through All Darkness

Imryrr walked slowly infront of the troops before they were to begin drill practice that morning. Their gear, though not the best, was in good repair this time, and she nodded her approval. But, so too did she note the small number of soldiers on the training field. She suspected that the shadow wraiths may not be following orders as well as her father would like, and perhaps, might be the cause of this lack of number.
The tall woman pivoted and walked the front line again. Two soldiers stood out from the rest. Her newest. Privates Nick Brown and Ishia. They had quickly proven both loyalty and dedication. And soon they would be facing their test of purpose....Battle and Glory.

She pased the floor of the guild hall glancing at the armor biting her lower lip. Could she ask them to lay their lives down for this piece, not knowing if they can fend off the 'allies' that Isk refered to.
She went to the desk and penned a letter to Talon.
Dear Talon,
I would like to meet with you in regards to the coming battle if it comes to that. We need to plan.

Lady Molly,
The breastplate must be transported to Castle Blackguard.
Its fortifications have never been breached by the enemy. There, numbers mean nothing, and 5 capable soldiers can fend off everything the dark ones can throw at us.
I have withdrawn all Sanctus forces back to the homeland.
We will hold them there.
Signed,
King Talon Skyfire
