She picked up a sense of another presence with her in the darkness. The fur on her back ruffled as if brushed by something unseen and she swiftly snapped at it, a gutteral snarl emitting from deep inside her.

She could hear something...hollow...distant....her name. As she felt herself ascending the voice grew familiar, yet she could not be certain why.

Her eyes opened and she no longer could see darkness. There were two figures...one robed, the other a girl. Her eyes began to glow again as she let out a warning growl. She watched as the two figures eyed each other. The young girl ran. She took a step toward the robed figure and saw a glint of silver and stopped. Baring her teeth, she took a step back.

"Dae, do you not remember?" The robed figure spoke to her.

Her head began to sway slightly as she stepped back from the figure and his kryss yet again.

She saw the young wolf emerge from behind him. She put her nose up and sniffed. The scent, too familiar. This was hers. Her thoughts began to clear partially. She had children. She nudged the young wolf who nuzzled back. There were others, but where were they?

Throwing her head back she howled long and loud. A call to her children, and a warning to others...
