Vaen had been chasing Marcus around for a good while, having been able to run into him by chance in Umbra. Marcus managed to escape Vaen by recalling to Hanse's. Vaen, after not being able to find Marcus, recalled to Hanse's to find Angel laying on the ground with a stab wound, roughly the size of a kryss, in her stomach.
Vaen rushed over to her, completely shocked.
"Angel...!! What... who..."
Angel coughed and said faintly... "M..Marc.."
"Marcus...." Vaen growled. "BASTARD!!" Vaen looked Angel over, kneeling down to her. He placed his hand softly on her cheek, looking into her eyes, his vision blurred from the tears forming. He didn't know what to say.
"Angel... you can't.... you can't die on me..."
"You'll....be....fine..." Angel said softly. She coughed, and blood started coming out of her mouth. Vaen glanced around frantically and then back to Angel.
"Angel... You... No... Angel..."
Angel began to close her eyes.
"ANGEL!! No!!! You can't die on me!! I can't... I can't go on without you..."
Angel opened her eyes and looked at Vaen. She said very quietly... "Prom...ise..... me.... you.... will.... go.... on...."
Vaen looked her over, tears started streaming down his face... he closed his eyes tightly. "I.... I... I promise...."
Angel squeezed at Vaen's hand as tight as she could.
"Angel... I... I love you.... Come on, you can't, you can't die. We have to get married! Come on, we're engaged. Please!"
Angel looked up at her. "I... love... you...."
"Angel no!!!" Angel's body went limp, and her eyes rolled back in her head. Vaen shook his head quickly. "NO! Angel!! Come back, please! Angel, I love you. Angel, please I... I'll do anything!"
Vaen watched as no movement came from Angel's body, and he shook his head, as the tears streamed down his face. He picked up Angel's body and recalled to his house. He walked towards a flower patch next to his house, carrying Angel and crying, glancing her over. Her body was growing cold.
Vaen laid her down next to a patch of flowers and knelt down, running his hands through her hair.
"Angel... I guess... I have my last words with you now..." Vaen cleared his throat and looked up. He whiped the tears from his eyes.
"Angel... I know we were very different... but... you... you showed me love. You showed me what it was to.... to be in love. You meant everything to me. And now... I've ... lost everything. But... I will go on... for you... Angel. Angel, I love you.... I.... I will get Marcus... and I will make him pay for this..." Vaen looked down at the engagement ring he managed to get for Angel and removed it. "I'll take good care of this...." he thought.
Vaen sighed. Firal came out and looked at the scene. He knew what had happened, and knew what to do. Firal looked down at Angel and shook his head and then at Vaen and patted him on the back. Firal began to dig a hole next to Angel, bursting out in tears as the hole got deeper. Firal tossed the shovel aside and motioned to Vaen.
Vaen slowly lowered Angel into the hole, and then stood over the grave.
"Good bye... Angel... my first.... true.... love."
Firal then covered up the grave and nodded to Vaen. "I'm sorry... son..."
Vaen just collapsed on to the grave and burst into tears, not getting up for hours to come. Firal watched as his son layed down on the grave. "This is the second loved one the Stanim family has taken from this family." Firal thought. "This won't happen again." _________________

Murdoc had watched most of the scene from the shadows, there he knew there was nothing he could do to save her. He stood for a moment before walking over and from the shadows making sure anything that would connect her to the Rogue Nation. And quickly returning home before anyone spotted him.
"It's sad... she was a good Rogue... could have done great things." He paused for a moment then threw the possessions she had on her in a box and set it on fire.
"Her death maybe unfortunate but we must make sure there is no information she may have had that would link her to the reformation of the Nation. "
He stood there quietly watching the box burn to ashs, not a tear shed nor a hint of sadness show on his face... it is very true what they say, Murdoc's heart has grown cold. Perhaps from all the lives he's taken or all the rogues he's watched die. Either way it did not seem to phase him in the least bit. The secret kept to himself that no one knew and probably will never know that he had not to long ago loved this woman. But that was in the past... and Murdoc will move on a bit colder then before and with less regard for life.
Murdoc quickly heads off into the shadows to do his work... death and despair is his game. _________________
