The chessboard has become a total warzone. But Black has the upperhand, with an opening in the center of White's defenses, and the King exposed with the Queen at his side.

Smirking slightly, Vaen took hold of one of his Black Knights, positioning it closer to the White King, threatening him. Guarded by the Black Queen, a Black Bishop, and a Black Rook, he chuckled slightly.

Vaen had begun full movement of his plan. Things had been rolling smoothly. Beowulf had aquired his plot of land and massive outpost. A solid base of operations. Everything was going according to plan, time would tell what kind of obstacles would arise.

The night prior, Beo had been finishing his own part of preparations. Pigeons had been sent and Vesper had been patrolled for the night. He sat quietly, the tower was still a mess. Uncleaned and not yet prepped for living. One table and one chair sat on the third floor.

Beowulf drummed his index fingers against the stone table. He contemplated sending his next two letters. It had been nearly a life time since he had spoken with these two. There was no other choice, either they came, or they had not yet forgiven him. Beo whistled towards the open stair case leading to the roof. Two pidgeons flew in and landed on his desk. He attached a letter to each of them. One titled; "Dear Derek Thormear" the other; "Dear Zellos Thormear"

Beowulf stood atop his large tower, staring directly South to the City of Vesper. Both were playing their own parts. Now he waited.
