It had been some time since Merci had seen Lestat. She wondered where he roamed. Yet this was like much of the men in her life, so she did not find herself in great alarm. She wondered idly if her champion new of the threat against Lycans, as it put herself and the children in direct harm. Yet it was of no matter, she could take care of herself.

Yet the fact remained that his children were here in Umbra, and she hoped he would be pleased with the progress some had made.
She herself had almost assumed his daughter Reine to be a failure, and this thought was indeed rash. Reine was shaping up to be quite the warrior. One day when she reached full maturity perhaps she would also be gifted with flight.

Merci watched Reine practice her wings for the moment tightly folded against her back. She was indeed a lovely girl, her shimmering blondish blue hair fluttering about her emotionless face.

She was growing tired, yet she kept at it, how could she not admire this, Merci couldnt help but feel a slight connection with Reine. A connection she shared immediately with her other children but had taken a long time coming with these.
