I sigh quietly while sitting exhausted behind the large stone desk. My body slowly becoming one with the chair, almost as though I haven't moved in years. I peer out my window, watching the soldiers train daily on the yard in front of the Head Quarters. My years of dedication, hard work, training, leading battles, has ended in what? My remaining days, decaying behind a desk and under a mountain of parchments?

I watch the stress rapidly catching up with my fellow Consul. Vaen grows tired of serving the Northland with quill and paper. Biting our tongues when we are so bluntly insulted, merely to keep good relations.

I left Tarothins side, Dark Cove, and helped extinguish the Armunn Empire. I did this, all in order to help serve and protect
Vesper and Minoc. Help them prosper, keep them safe. Now I sit here, unable to help them as I intended. I'm stuck doing something I am clearly not good at, politics.

I should say I -was- stuck here, doing something I wasn't very good at, and truly did not enjoy. Now however, we have found a better way to serve the Northland. The documents in front of me merely await the second signature from my co-consul, allowing the Moonglow Town Council full control of the Northlands. With our soldiers in blue, Vaen as their Captain, and the parchment load of my back, we will confidently serve all three lands much easier. With the increase in soldiers, Moonglow will be safer than ever, neutral from attacks and well trained. With double the numbers, I will be able to watch over Vesper, as Vaen will Minoc, and have even more soldiers to patrol and scout the surrounding area.

Yes, a merger. An absorption some may call it. With Moonglows diplomats and politicians and Northlands military and far more than exception officers, it'll be nothing but a benefit for both sides.

Now I sit here, a dusty old chest in front of me. A uniform waits, one that has not been worn in quite some time. A Legacy to continue on Verity Isle.

It had been delivered to his desk. The documents that give all land rightfully won by Beowulf and him over to Moonglow. Vaen and Beowulf discussed this in length. Neither of them were fit politicians. At the dinner party, Vaen would have easily leaped across the table and slit Adrien's throat, and with the Northlanders he had there, any others who got involved would have been dealt with just as quick.

But that's not the way a politician works. Vaen was a warrior. He didn't deal in pen and paper. He wasn't the type to spray sunshine in people's faces, and kiss people's asses. He shook his head, and quickly signed the documents delivered to him.

He was promised the position of Captain within the Moonglow Militia, a position he felt very comfortable with. He enjoyed taking those who were eager to learn how to fight, and turning them into war machines. And this time would be no different. He will share his knowledge with the Moonglow Militia, and give birth to the most devastating army a nation could ever have.

Smiling to himself, he picked up the documents, and decided that hand-delivering them would be the best approach. He donned his new blue uniform, and set off to Moonglow.

Tika was on the roof of her and Spawn's home in the mountains of Malas in the garden she created. It was a nice and quiet place for one to relax after a rough day. A smile went across Tika's face as she stared at the colorful flora that was around her. But despite the beautiful arrangements around her, Tika was still worried about her husband Spawn as she always is.

Downstairs at the entrance of the home, Morgana, Tika and Spawn's servant, was tiding up the place. It was a typical quiet day in the house of Tika and Spawn Skyfire. Morgana suddenly glanced towards the outside of the house hearing what sounded like a gate opening. Upon glancing at the front of the house, she noticed a moongate and someone appearing from it. The servant grinned realizing who the person was.

"Lady Skyfire! Your husband is here!" Morgana shouted. Tika, hearing that her husband is home, exited the garden and quickly made her way downstairs. As Tika walked down the stairs, she noticed Spawn standing at the bottom.

"Spawn! I'm so glad you're ho-!" Tike said before stopped glancing at Spawn's uniform which wasn't the Northland Republic crimson but the Moonglow blue. "Did something happen my love?" asked Tika. Spawn grinned a bit as he walked up the stairs past Tika. "You are not the Praetor of Northland anymore?" Tika asked tilting her head a bit in confusion.

"Constable..." Spawn said stopping halfway up the stairs. He glanced over his shoulder at his wife. "I'm Constable of Moonglow now my dear wife" said Spawn walking up the stairs again. Tika walked up the stairs following Spawn. "Constable? Moonglow?" she asked still confused.

"I'll explain upstairs..." Spawn nodding towards their bedroom. Both Tika and Spawn went into the bedroom closing the door behind them. From there, Spawn explained to his wife what happened with the Northland Republic and how he was now Constable of Moonglow.

It had been a long time since Rhiannon had felt this much peace. One would expect that the new and sudden events with the Northland Republic would have unsettled her - considering both the large amount of land for which Moonglow was now responsible and the mass influx of citizens, militia and constables. However, she was not unsettled. In fact, she was quite happy.

As Minister of Justice, she had been searching for capable men and women to serve as Moonglow Constables, and she had found some. Her new constables, a few of which had arrived from the Republic, were well respected, highly skilled gentlemen. The absorption of the Republic had also brought fierce, strong additions to the militia as well as some quite likable citizens!

She took a sip of ale and looked over the town from her rooftop. Her love of the town was strong, almost overwhelming. She wanted more than anything to ensure it's safety. And what a force they now had to protect it!

Fong sat behind his desk in the newly constructed Moonglow Hall of Honors. Smiling to himself, he slowly scanned the room, taking in the placement of everything. It wouldn't be long now he thought to himself. The triety would be on his desk waiting for Its final signature.

Getting to his feet fong carefully walked around the office space a few times, thinking over the last week of events. The Northlanders had slowly started to accept their new colors. The scarlet of the Northlands was cast away, for the tranquility of blue. Fongs thoughts slowly drifted to Adrien and the Regency council. Its only a matter of time... Fong said aloud to himself. With a slight frown and a sigh, he prepared himself for the coming weeks. Even though it would be a long road, Fong was confident, it would be worth it in the end. He was very excited.
