Two drows, Nimrana and Bae'vin Kilduis, entered the Den of Sin Tavern at the same time by happy coincidence, if you believe in coincidence. They took seats at the bar and quietly surveyed the large room. Around the corner of the bar and near its other end sat Walter of Isk, quietly nursing his drink.
Nimrana had spent decades in the upper world, but Bae only recently left the Underdark world of drow. Even now her eyes showed the trauma sunlight could cause to drow unused to the bright world above ground. Though Nim had tried to heal them, they were still puffy and red.
Presently they began to converse in drow.
Bae'vin asked Nimrana, "Since you are so fond of bedding humans *shudder* would you bed him?"
He had told her about his recent liaison with a human female, which Bae found unnatural and revolting though she kept bringing it up. He figured she meant it to annoy him, but it didn't.
Nimrana considered the human a moment in light of the question. The question did not surprise him because drow tend to be blunt about sex and Bae had demonstrated she was no exception.
"Possibly. He has very nice shoulders and chest. However, *shudder* he has hair on his face and likely a great deal of it elsewhere."
Drow, you see, have no body hair. Mammals such as humans are quite hairy which only proves drow are the superior race.
"He could..." Nimrana paused. "Humans call it 'shave' but I can't think of a drow word for it."
Bae'vin remarked that's because we had no need for it.
Din'axele, another drow, came in. He had very strong views about Llothian drow society but tonight he kept them to himself.
Walter is a humanist. Because of his limited mental capacity (hey, I'm writing this from a drow point of view so stop throwing things at me! Besides, he's human and can't he'p it)...er, because of his limited mental capacity, he feels humans are the superior race. Which only proves drow are superior because we know better.
He made some disparaging remarks about the drow language giving him a headache. Bae tried to bait him by saying in common that Nimrana found him attractive if only he'd shave. Walter, however, refused to be lured into conversation with drow regardless of how tantalizing the subject.
Another human came in. He greeted the drow in a friendly manner, using the word "aluve" which drow use when leaving (farewell). They corrected him because one should not leave a human as ignorant as when you found him.
Soon another drow came in, named Izrem. He engaged them in conversation. He sought to convert people to Oblivion. Our friends could not understand why any one would seek to become nothing.
Izrem told them it was not about nothingness, but what it was he could not get them to understand. Obviously some drow are more superior than others and have better understanding of the universe and some are just cuckoo. 'Nuff said. |

The annoyance was obvious. The Drow proceeded with question after question on sex and thing sexual.
At one point after being questioned on his bedroom skills Walter turned right to the drow. "What in the hell kind of question is that?"
Nothing was more annoying than arrogant inferior races speaking in gibberish. As all humans know their inferior language was only formed from the fact they have a smaller brain, and their capacity for speech and basic communication is greatly mutated.
With a mumble he says "Damn Drow should return to their caves where they belong."
The annoying tone that came with their speech gave Walter a headache even the ale couldn't subdue. As much as he wanted to get up and cut the tongue's out of their mouth. He controlled himself, being in Umbra and cutting the tongues out of drow is not a good idea.
Finally when the drow left their was peace, peace and quiet. _________________
