Unfortunately the tournament was attacked by HOT. JC the Builder was there as well. You know, the guy who came here and requested information from us concerning Seers, etc? Apparently he didn't care too much for our help, and allowed HOT to attack us.
HOT used to be a somewhat respectable felucca guild. But more and more recently, their members have been using hacking programs (including speedhacks, etc), and have been leaning more and more towards the griefer side of the game.
Again, my apologies to those of you who attended and used your time to try and run this event. Unfortunately, we had to deal with HOT. _________________

I was there for a minute surveying what was going on. I didn't attack anyone.
I'm sorry that HOT disrupted the tournament and our council will make sure it doesn't happen in the future. |

Well, I had a blast PvPing >.> But this event wasn't for me. And most of the people there were just there for the roleplay. I'm more looking out for their best interest. _________________

Yeah what i liked about it, was even thou, they came and attacked we stood our ground TOGETHER against them showing them that we as a community will not let some idiots ruin anything, in fact I felt the whole thing was very succesful, and I would like to thank you for hosting it, and for all of you who went out there and showed them that thou we RP, doesnt mean we can't fight. Good work to all of you. _________________ No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country.

Geez, I miss tournament and you let a bunch of newbs attack.
Just kidding! Sounds like I missed some fun. I'll hopefully get my accounts back up and running soon. In the mean time, Fong keep those tournies going. |

Whats so cool is that no one has posted here with complaints! There was something really fun about fighting, as a Sanctan alongside Cappadocians while trying to rez Fong, and taking instruction from a Giovanni! I think I even saw Bizarro fly by! |

screw you JC! and thanks to anyone in the com (you know who you are) who have members in HOT, I hope you guys have re-thought your choice of PVP guild after last nights....stuff.
Sorry if im the only one upset about this, Took time out of a jammed schedule to attempt and host this event so you can see why im a little cheesed.
Thanks for everyone who came and had a good time, we will plan on for early next month to make up for this one! _________________ It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds. - Samuel Adams |

I am sorry to hear about last night's events. I feel though there is a severe undertow directed at our guild for events which were NOT of our making.
It was an invited guest of someone else who summoned HOT to the tournie site after being banned from a public house. TGC members do NOT mix rp with fel pvp. Nor do our members personally use speed hacks. They are rampant in MANY fel guilds not only HOT.
The guys fought and died beside the RP community. The event was an rp event, no loyalty to HOT during such an event. (In order to clarify Holding the guild rank of Ronin) As Ronin's in the guild there is little clout to sway leadership. They did jump out of TGC vent into HOT's to try to call the raid off. With NO luck.
I am not going to sway anyone's opinion in the community, many of you have already painted us with a label your not even willing to re-examine. Our members went through proper channels to attend the tournie, behaved honorably. They have no more control of another's actions than the person who invited and brought the person who summoned this attack did over his actions.
I do not see how membership in HOT is any different than membership in VIP or other fel based pvp guilds. I fail to see how one murdering red guild who hacks is any different from another, unless membership in it is of high enough rank that you can use your Red membership to benefit your blue rper. I will not be asking TGC members to withdraw from HOT, it is their choice. What they do with the other characters when they are NOT roleplaying is up to them. The line in our guild has been clear, when attending or roleplaying there is NO loyalty beyond RP. They govern their own behavior even when in a HOT character by their own ethical code. I stand by my guild, these guys have a good moral core, rules in how they interact even returning looted items to those who get caught up on the mayhem accidentally when they are out together.
I appreciate the effort that went in to planning the event. It was something that was enjoyed. I do understand your frustration Fong. However, I feel it is extremely unfair to visit your wrath upon those who like everyone else in the rp community tried to stop it and weather the attack.
Fel events are always risky. Many tournies and auction on Great Lakes are attempted. Raids are a constant problem. Majestic Oaks Auction house eventually abandoned use of Red Devil Tower which is a Seer decorated blessed house owned in fel as its auction site. There was no means to protect patrons or prevent reds from camping the site without making the house private. Even now when Fel houses come up for auction, we will NOT gate.. travel is at the patrons own choice. There is simply no way to prevent the risk. I might suggest in the future if one is hosting an rp only event that the property be set to private and access be granted to those who are attendees. A digruntled evictee will often cause a ruckus in what ever means at their disposal, even in Trammel.
I realize this should likely be in the Senate, I am not permitted access. Please feel free to move it and contact me via icq or PM. I will respond as my schedule allows.
