Ah and with the mention of the HRE I MUST use the obligatory phrase that MUST accompany any mention of them...

They were neither holy nor roman...discuss!

And Morio you made me crack up with your comment "back in the fatherland" thanks for making me laugh, I'm currently sick and needed it! Wink

No they weren't holy or roman...in their beginning they still worshiped the Norse gods as well. Under Garrick's lead they are the same with a twist. now if I can only get enough Frau for mein harem!

That is one thing that has always confused me. Why do you want a harem? I thought that was a mid-eastern thing. Makes for interesting role play. You seem to get slapped a lot, lol. Razz Just curious.

Gaunlet's colors are indeed luna white, but they are also gold, and crimson red.

Newbie guild members wear mostly red, with gold and white mixed in.

Mid level members wear mostly gold, with white and red mixed in.

High level members wear mostly white, with red and gold mixed in.

not only a Mideastern thing(a harem). Any good Emperor (kaiser) needs a harem!

I guess it got a little confusing since some guilds used similar colors. If guilds used two colors (like football teams) it'd be simpler. I remember AoF went through a couple color sets because another guild had already "claimed" them.

Talon, Ford motor company had the same moto when they first came out with cars you could have any color car you wanted as long as it was black. heheh

Haven't picked colors for TGC, there was some talk of the Giovanni perhaps going black and a royal purple. Though mostly we tend to want to look more the merchant or politician sort in appearance. Not so much the gloomy walking death funeral black or blood red. I will discuss it with the group if this is something folks would like to see if for no other times than special events.

Much like a family crest or coat of arms since there is little other way in game to denote rank be it real or perceived other than type and color of clothing.

Well, Tinkerbelle is always going to be Purple (being she is a purple pixie). Ellesbeth tends to wear mostly white with a purple accent, such as a sash or hat. The other characters haven't really conformed to any particular color, but I guess for special occasions purple and white could be considered guild colors. Of course Dyannae always has to be different. She's always preferred the black hooded robe with red accents. Might have something to do with being a judge. I'll have to talk to her about that. She would have final say as to whether we have guild colors or not. She may think purple clashes with her aqua colored skin. I'll have to get her to make an appearance one of these day too. (Being she is actually my husband and does not play as much since heart attack, it will have to be a night he is feeling up to it.)
