With a whole hiryu carcus across his back Morio climbed the stairs leading to the house. The ivy still encasing his left arm but had shunk a bit so it was only halfway up his upper arm, using his gifts more had made it start to shrink.
He placed the dead bird on the grass, its tongue lolling about. Opening the sliding door he didn't hear anyone in the house, nor could he smell that anyone had been in for a couple of hours, there was a piece of paper on one of the tables, It was Iruka's handwritting, he could tell cause Haydn's looked neater, but what the lines meaned on the page Morio could guess.... "Gone hunting or off to explore" Something of that nature....
Collecting his skinning and butchering equipment, Morio honned the blades so they was sharp and went about skinning and cutting the Hiryu, after about fourty or so minutes Morio had completed his task, the sun was about to set and he knew Haydn and Iruka would be back soon. Wrapping most of the meat up and picking up the meat he will be using to cook with Morio went down into the hollowed out cave under the house and put the wrapped up meat in the meat storage box, picking up some vegetables, eggs, flour, herbs and spices he went back up to the house to start the dinner.
Once he was happy with the liquid that would act as a soup he started on the noodles, kneading the dough and then the process of stretching it and twisting it to make the noodles. Once he was happy with the amount and size of them placed them in a seperate pot and added some sake to the water for a bit of flavor, now all that waited was for the rest of his family to arrive and he could start serving up and eating.... It had been a long day......
