We are attempting to get control of Buc's Den as our base of operations. Since there is no real official guard presence in Buc's Den, we wanted to think of another realistic obstacle we'd have to overcome to get the support of its inhabitants. We figured pirates would be the 'reigning force' in the town, so we came up with a way to work with them. Since brute force isn't realistic and I dislike writing stories against NPCs anyways, we came up with a plan to appeal to their greed. Ariana has basically agreed to pay to upgrade their ships, equipment and get them general supplies and resources in exchange for their support of her taking control of the town. This way we have an rp way to be in control of Buccaneer's Den.
Now we have spent a great deal of time putting together this package of goods that is reflected in the shipping manifest in the story. I'm sort of a stickler for being 'real' when it comes to rp and since we are dealing with a bunch of NPCs we can't really get rid of the items and gold by passing off to another group of rpers. So we made a decision that to remain true to the rp we are going to set the stuff down ooc on the coastline of Buc's Den and let it 'decay'. I'll be doing this later today and will make another post when I get it all done with a screenshot of the 'cargo'.
Since we are going to let it actually decay and please keep in mind this part is all OOC, I'll post when I get it dropped off and anyone OOCly who wishes to come by and loot what they'd like, please do. I can not state this enough that the aspect of looting the cargo should be entirely OOC and should not be taken into character for the purposes of 'getting the bribe and ruining Ariana's plans'. RP wise the cargo was safely delivered. We just wish to be 'true to the rp' and it seems silly to do that with such a significant amount of gold, items and resources that would be required to pull this rp off.
Anyways, thanks for listening and hopefully understanding. As soon as I have everything lugged to the OOC drop point, I'll post another message with a screenshot of what we are using to pay off the pirates. _________________

Actually Ariana, there are still some pirate rpers about so if you wanted to have some future relations with pirates I am sure the pirates of the community would love to pop their heads in and do some rp. None of them claim bucs den of course tho it being such a popular uo pirate cove alot of em rp out of there so maybe we can get some future rp going.
Just a opening for rp..
Take care! _________________ May destiny guide you... |

Thanks Merci *smiles* We'll look forward to meeting them. I'm hoping with time we'll get some pirate rpers to join and create a faction within the guild and get a council seat. I love pirates and I would really love to see some pirates hanging around again in Bucs even if they aren't in |A| *grins*
Alright folks.. items have been 'dropped' off. I couldn't screenshot all of it due to where I was standing, so there is more than is shown. Remember this is ooc, but hopefully some rpers down on their luck will oocly find it. Over 500k of gold as well as some rare items tossed in for added flavor. Enjoy!
