This was Cears Idea, and I dont want to step on his toes, but I would be happy to help coordinate this with him or someone else if we are going to do this.
We actually next week already have two events so in a way it has already started. I can also put runes at goodmans for people for these special event locations.
Just let me know thought I would offer to help out. _________________ May destiny guide you... |

For what it's worth, Sylvan's house was created specifically with the idea of being an rp spot without being a tavern. It was designed with the Victorian-era private 'clubs' in mind. A place to go and read, drink, relax, eat, play games, whatever. There is also a sauna there, complete with a box of free robes. Some of you know the place. MTC hosted a really nice event which was interesting in that it's a spot that people from all 'walks' can go to. Anybody who would like to get a rune, get in touch. I'd love to see the place used--but there's no sense asking for a place that's not a tavern to be seen as a tavern! The doors are open. |

and this raises another idea. community-specific rune library.
All tavers, places of public RP or significance.
maybe something that would be present at the
Repertory? |
I'd be more than happy to manage and maintain an ARPC-related library. |

A good mix of PvP and RP type events. I know when I was on GL there were many events I helped initiate and plan, town festivals and whatnot. The gamecube is super cool. I so want to have a quiz night where a wrong answer gets you "punished" by the Matron *evil smirk* I think you mentioned that in vent one night Kelly.
So...get them thinking caps on!!! |

not a problem to redo the schedule...it would bring around each tavern for one thing...may guilds have weekly schedules for battles, drills and events already. I am not for it personally due to Sanctus obligations however as the Tavern Nights coordinator I'd be happy to adjust the schedule accordingly...You won't see me for a friday tavern night ever though or much at all in game on friday and saturday nights...there is too much beer in the world to drink for such things... _________________ A government must not waiver once it has chosen it's course. I am reopening this up, Cear started this poll to get this going. I myself am committed to seeing it done and if allowed would like to coordinate it. Malic as you know is unable to be here right now due to some real life issues. It sounds as if it might be a while. When he returns I would be happy to work with him on it.
However for now I would like to get it started so we could make headway. If all of you that voted yes in this poll are still interested we can put together a Rotation and post it here. I will work with support staff to see it done as well as put a book down at Goodmans with the rotations.
What made me think of this is all the returning and new people wandering around looking for rp.
I propose since it was the majority consensus, that we do a secondary event,(twice a month at first to see if people are interested) Ie, a tavern night at an npc tavern, or a gathering at a places like the Brit Fair grounds, many suggestions were given out above and we can begin setting up a schedule, many guilds offered to run things.
I will be happy to coordinate and get this underway, summers coming and it would be nice to see our activities together as a community pick up. If however people dont want me to coordinate it thats fine I just would like to see someone pick up the ball on it!
I will be honest I want to do it simply for the purpose of giving back some of what this community has given to me.
Take care all!

Right on! It'll be nice to have some extra events to work with.

Anyone ever consider using Rivendell? It's out of the way, nobody goes there, it still looks badass. I know there's this stigma attached to anything in Felluca, but once upon a time, everyone who played UO was able to deal with being in Fel. Maybe something there once a week. It's got major history, a unique feel, and it's just sitting there, going to waste. |

I seen a few buildings out there, they were made into a "ruins" type state though so... *shrugs* |
