After the battle in Moonglow against the orcs, Spawn sat in his study thinking about the battle he was just in and how he performed. It was a grim day as Moonglow with the assistance of the Blue Lotus were unable to repel the orcish invasion. Spawn was both disappointed and disgusted at what occured at the battle.

"Cowardly ninjas just give up and surrender Moonglow to those orcs?" Spawn said to himself rubbing the bridge of his nose. He then stood up from his desk and began to pace around his study. "And we just sat there and allowed them do it" said Spawn slamming his right hand onto the top of the stone desk causing a loud banging sound to echo in the room. Spawn continued to pace around the room for a moment taking the occasional deep sigh thinking about his next course of action. He would stop pacing as an idea was forming in the back of his mind. "Yes... yes... I know what I must do now" said Spawn as he removed his hat placing it on the desk.

An hour later, Darius, Spawn's son, entered Spawn's Sanctus estate and made his way towards the study where he knew his father would be. The house was still empty of any workers since Spawn has them moved to their residence somewhere in the Malas mountains since the Lich Lord's previous threats. Despite his father's wishes, Darius still decided to come to Sanctus and other parts of the land where the Lich Lord was said to be making appearances. Darius quietly made his way towards his father's study hoping that Spawn might have been out somewhere. Once at the entrance of the study, Darius opened the wooden door and made his way inside the dark study.

"I had a feeling you would show up son" said Spawn's voice coming inside the study with Darius.

"I apologize father but mother was worried about you" Darius said looking around the study trying to see if he could find his father.

"Son, you need not lie to me for I know why you are here" Spawn's voice said from the darkness of the room.

"I apologize father" Darius said quickly looking around the dark study trying to follow the voice to see where his father was. Suddenly, the room brightened up as Spawn lit the candle on his desk using the fireball spell. Darius, somewhat startled by the sudden lighting of the room, began to make his way towards his father who was dressed not in Moonglow blue but in the old green which he was infamous for wearing. "Father? Is everything alright?" Darius asked standing directly in front of the desk which his father was sitting on.

"Everything is fine son" Spawn said standing up from the desk making his way towards the nearby window. Darius remained standing watching his father's movements making sure that everything was actually alright. "I have just made a decision that shall change both our lives Darius" Spawn said nodding his head towards the chair in front of the desk that Darius was standing near. "Sit down son and I shall explain" Spawn said as he sat down at his desk holding a letter in his hand. With that, Spawn began to explain the decision to his son.

Once Spawn was finished explaining things to Darius, the son of Spawn was sent to Moonglow with a letter in hand with the following:

Mayor Bedouin,

I hope this letter finds you in these difficult times with the recent orc invasions. I realize that Moonglow is under great times with the recent orcish invasions in Moonglow. Which is why I find it more difficult to give you this news. After tonight's recent battle, I find myself unable to continue to perform my duties as Head Constable. With that being said, I, Spawn Skyfire hereby resign as Head Constable and withdraw myself from the Moonglow Town Council. I know this news comes at a bad time but not all hope is lost. My son, Darius, has shown promise and great interest in joining the council. My final request before I depart from the council is for Darius to continue in my footsteps and be given my former position of Head Constable. He may lack in the experience that I had but with time I know my son shall be just like myself in terms of Justice and with combat. Finally, I wish to say that it was an honor to have served with the Moonglow Town Council. I wish you and the council luck in the future and hope Darius shall serve you as well as I did. Thank you and good day.

Darius left the house with a heavy smile on his face before recalling out of Sanctus to Moonglow. Darius finally got what he wanted which was his father's blessing to go follow his footsteps as a man of the law. Once in Moonglow, Darius would make his way towards the council's headquarters to give the Mayor the letter from his father.
