Stygian Abyss Expansion Open Beta
The open beta of Stygian Abyss is beginning tonight. Players who are using the enhanced (SA) client will be able to access the Retribution shard when it goes live this evening.
Players using the 2D client will need to download a new client used solely for access to the Retribution shard. This client can be found here.
For more information on the open beta, see today's Five on Friday. |

May as well. The Kingdom Reborn client they say simply will not work with the new expansion. This provides a good kick in the butt to transfer early.

you have to use the new client that you downloaded
It's in the Electronic Arts folder in Program Files, not the EA Games folder
And let me just say that yes, I already have an insane template worked with Mysticism, and imbuing is crazy. _________________

I did the beta second round... and after a few tries I wrote it off. Resigned myself to spending the last of my UO days on the 2d client.
Sooooooo........ this morning i took the plunge and downloaded the new SA Client. I am not 100% sold, but find that as i learn the new client, i am starting to really enjoy it.
Also, according to the note in the new client, when you make macro and other changes in the SA Client, it will not change anything in the 2D client.
There will be gripes and complaints and I had prepared myself to just keep my mouth shut and not post mine. Instead, I doubt that I will go back to 2D. what a surprise!!! _________________ I hope you dance........ |

I'm enjoying the gargoyle race; but very disapointed in the fact they can not wear anything but gargoyle specific weapons and armor.
particularly the crimmy.....

opinion on Gargoyles as a race; great for RP - poor for pvp / pvm
lack of options leaves alot to be accounted for. |

You might be able to. I know you can convert most everything else. Maybe not clothing now that I think about it actually. _________________
