I have seating in the school for about 18 students. Should I add more? Big classes can be unwieldly. I would kinda rather have two sessions on the same subject per week instead. Thotz?

I think 18 seats would work.. I think if more folks than that show up for a class, than they can do what we had to do in school.. stand at the back, share a desk or sit on one of the tables in the back.

I would like to hold two classes per week, but that may not be possible all the time. I guess it will have to go on a case by case basis with the teacher. I do know it should be a weekly event, however.

This is the current list of teachers that I have talked to or who have posted here along with subjects of their choosing or my suggestion:

Isk - Humanist Philosophy and Reasoning
Cal Hurst - Introduction to Martial Arts
Ceinwyn - Sosarian History
Arakad - Mage Theorum
SolarMaid or Lady Ni'Xuin - Tokuno Customs and Lore
Darrien Church - Malas History and Lore
Molly - The Virtues - Philosophy and Reasoning
Garrick/Malic - The Virtues in Depth

I plan to start the first class Saturday, September 19th and to hold an open house Saturday, September 12th. I will post an IC announcement soon.

Everyone listed above please PM me a.s.a.p. (on this board or else in ICQ) what evening is best for you; what time (I want to keep the sessions between 30 to 60 minutes with a lunch/dinner break in between... the school has a cafeteria =); needs and fee. I am considering a 5,000 tuition fee, 100% of which will go to the teacher, if we have 20 students. Books may cost a bit more but it will be nominal. Certificates will be given out at the conclusion of the class, and I plan to have a graduation ceremony if there is enough interest in that sort of thing. The school can only accommodate 20 students as far as seating, and that is a manageable number I think, but I will have an IC post for signees.

I really do appreciate all the cooperation and interest in this project! I hope it can be something worthwhile and conducive to the unity and enjoyment of the community as we role play together.

Introduction to Martial Arts
Long story short, this is a PvP class. But this isn't a class that will be designed to make you an allstar PvPer. Far from it. Fact is, there are many people in this community who literally jump and freak out behind the keyboard when PvP happens. By that, I don't mean getting angry. I literally mean they get the shakes badly, panic, and can't properly control their characters. This class will be designed (obviously from an IC standpoint) to make you feel more comfortable in a PvP situation, to the point where you can direct your character.
