Amen, Willow.
Part of Plan B is trying to force my insurance company to pay for an innovative laser surgery. A small cut is made to allow a laser scope in, and simply cauterize the herniation. It is done with local anesthetic and heavy IV sedation. It is outpatient and most are back to work within a week or sooner. This, opposed to a major incision and removing part of my spine and a 65% chance that I'll remain disabled permanently. I don't like those numbers. My life does not have room for such a fail.
With luck and alot of grace, I should be able to prolong this until June or August when we have a pretty good set of breaks from my primary job and I won't need to take medical leave, which I am almost out of. |
