But people who play regularily know I have a habit of transposing letters when I type. I have dyslexic fingers.

Anyhow, at work, I'm working on a multi-million dollar project where we coordinate through a IM chat rather than a conference call.

So, the project manager logs into the project this morning, and the first line of text:

Chuck: odes shnwaee sitll need a snalshoot this rmongin?

We sat there in silence for like two or three minutes until...

Chuck: Oh lord, I'm pretending to be Adrian this morning.
Chuck: does shawnee still need a snapshot this morning?
Hector: Nice!
Adrian: snalshoot this rmongin is now my favorite saying. "How you doing?" "I'm snalshoot this rmongin, thank you!"
Ray: lol. Chuck you are now the official company snalshoot.
Bryce: Um are you guys using nonstandard keyboards?
Adrian: No, but I do have nonstandard hands.
Hector: Standard keyboard, snalshoot key map.

The word snalshoot has appeared as an answer in our chat at least two dozen times today, typically when nobody has a good answer. "Just snalshoot that hrmongin. it'll work fine."

The people I work with are wierd.

Actually, it is a pretty cool place to work, and I got a pretty good gig. Normally i administrate the corporate network, but when things are slow, they have me work other projects, like this one. I also get to create/administrate/develop our corporate IT Support processes and procedures, as well as admin the internal IT Support Sharepoint site and Knowledge Base Wiki.

At least once a week my division director comes by my desk and goes "I got this problem I'd like you to take a crack at..."

I'm "that guy". you know, the one with the neckbeard and red suspenders that talks about the "old days" in IT and has seen, supported and fixed just about everything imaginable? Yeah that's me.

Minus the suspenders.

And the neckbeard.
