Dealthagar,

You are now named the Lich Lord's Plenipotentiary in all affairs regarding Malas and Umbra until the Queen and Regent are brought back from hiding. You are vested with the full authority of our word and seal until further notice. Do not fail us again Technomancer. Consider yourself, as of now, formally forgiven.

Dealthagar sat at his desk reading and rereading the missive. Was there some hidden subtext he was missing? It did not specify that the ban was lifted but at the same time, it was a formal document of forgiveness, and a marque of absolute authority.

The voids in Dealthagar's eyes flared and swirled in confusion and unrest. Was this a test of his loyalty? Was this a pedistal to set the Herald upon, only to push him back off again should the pressing events in the city go foul?

Dealthagar took a deep breath. "It doesn't matter."

Sularis the Damned, Dealthagar's major domo, agent and steward stepped from the shadows. "What's that master?"

Dealthagar's face twisted in thought. "Scrolls, quills, wax and my seal. Gather them." He gave a small snort of satisfaction. "It's about damn time. Umbra, the City of Necromancers is now ruled by a necromancer, if only for a short time. We shall not squander this opportunity."

The hulking gargoyle nodded and backed out of the room, while his master massaged his scalp, deep in thought. The Gear turns ever anew.
