Returning to his desk Gorhun withdraws a quill from a drawer and pens the following letter:

Dearest Kal’iksix,

I do hope this letter finds you well. It is my opinion that the little one gets her temper from her mother. I did enjoy our meeting the other night; despite finding out your plans to dilute the drow culture. Ahh, and tell your slave that I hope she has recovered from her sudden falling out of consciousness.

Always a pleasure,

Gorhun Morchiant
Lord of the Drow

*A glowing purple seal of the Staff of the Spiders*

Once written, the drow places the letter in an envelope and wards it with various hexes to taunt but evade trackers. "Kal'iksix..., Gorhun says with a smirk as he sends the letter on its way by way of raven.

Kal'iksix continued her pacing from the bedroom down to her throne room, anxiously awaiting the reply of the Lich Lord, anger boiling over inside her. All occupants of the House met her wrath so they cowered and placed bets on whose turn it was to enter the Mistress' presence. Suddenly, the sound of a raven broke Kal'iksix's concentration. With her abilities to charm wild animals, she summoned the bird to her shoulder. Seeing the parchment, she took it from the bird, countered the various magical seals on it, and unrolled it to read. Instantly, her hand went to the bird's neck, a loud snap later, she drained the blood of the bird into a nearby cup before tossing the bird into one of the nearby braziers as well as the letter. She screamed for her scribe to come and write the note she was to dictate.

Pompous twit of a drow lord,

First of all, I am HARDLY your dearest, so please refrain from calling me so. You are not the Patron and nor will you EVER hold any position of power in this land. The act that you have committed shows me truly that you are a snake and do not deserve to bear any spider symbol whatsoever.

Secondly, tis only you and your foul followers that see the priestess' training in the ways of Oblivion as "diluting" the culture. Obviously you have been away too long for as I see it, Oblivion and the ways of Lolth have similarities that will only secure the unity of Umbrans.

Thirdly, I am glad to see that my daughter has not made things easy for you. I do hope she continues but if you harm her or remove her from this realm because of such activity from her, you will have sealed your fate, as I will dispatch Lord Church's death knights to hunt you and your brood down and bring me your heads on a silver platter. As for Amal'une, she'll recover just fine after the punishment she received for her weakness in allowing one of your minions to not only touch the princess but also to take her from her home.

Return the priestess at once and perhaps Lord Church and I will spare your life and only banish you from this realm. If you harm her, consider it your death sentence. However, I must praise you on using that coward and weak drow Alaundril to assist in your distraction of me so that you can carry out your plan.

Expect a visit soon!
Kal'iksix Viaxus

P.S. I do hope you enjoy this new red ink I have chosen for this letter. Your raven was all to kind to provide it for me. At least ONE of your servants knows to follow a Matron.

Kal'iksix summons one of her Obsidian spider messengers. "Take this to that thing that follows my Brother who goes by the name Gorhun. I believe he would be staying at the Double Dagger with Alaundril, try there first." The spider clacks it's pinchers and scurries off.
