[Queen Sarah]

After arriving at the palace, Sarah looks in on Raji before heading to her library. A dull quietness elopes her making her sigh to break the silence. Going to her desk she pens the new proclamation and gives it to the courier outside her door.

Walking out onto the balcony that over looks the one of the town’s square she watches the courier make his way through the crowd. After ascending the platform the drummer boy strikes up a drum roll and with a snap of his wrist the announcer unfurls the scroll.

“Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Good citizens of the Empire

Queen Sarah brings the Empire good news. A cure has been found for the Plague!” The announcer pauses for the crowd‘s response to die down enough to be heard. “With that glorious news the Empire’s borders will be open to trade, commerce, tourism and travel.” Another pause due to the happy roaring of the crowd. “With best wishes from the Queen, her cabinet will aid all those in need and will be working quickly to restore the grandeur to the Empire. The Royal Ball will be announced within the week. Much needed planning must be done before a time may be set.” Clearing his throat and deepening his voice he continues, “Let us all give thanks to the Gods for providing us with such a loving Queen….All Hail Queen Sarah!”

Leaning back into the shadows Sarah smiles upon the scene. Knowing the words to her proclamation, she is surprised at the addition. A cheer goes up from the crowd, demanding her to come to the balcony. Instructing the servants before reappearing on the balcony, she smiles and waves down to the crowd. “Yes this is where my focus has to be now…” Sarah thinks as she appeases the crowd.

Turning briefly she goes back into the room, taking Ameer Najm into her arms, together as mother and son, the queen and heir return to the balcony. Energy from the crowd sweeps them up into a loving embrace, connecting them all together.

Coming to the rail Sarah makes it known she wishes to speak and the crowd quiets. “Citizens, I give you our future. My son and true heir, Ameer Najm Oryan!” Carefully she lifts him up so the crowd can see him. Swells of cheers fill the city streets, giving three hurrahs for the prince then another for his mother their queen. “Aye, this is where I belong.”

After meeting with the Queen and handing over the cure for the disease he was quite pleased that she did not seem to realise who she was dealing with. For trust would have been an issue and his plans possibly ruined if she had known.

Curious on how well it might go, as soon as the aura faded, he left felluca to the empire of Ne'jehlm. When walking through the town, villagers were walking towards the palace. Stopping a lady as she walked by, he asked what was going on. She said that there was an important announcement to be heard. Some great news. Smiling to myself already with the assumption of what that news may be, I followed just close enough to overhear the announcer's speech. Looks like I made it here just in time to hear the reactions. Staying near the back of the crowd and off to the side, I smiled at the crowds reaction to the speech and the following cheers for the queen.

Now, to further her trust in me as well as her knowledge of who I am. I guess I shall be attending the ball...and continue with my plans that I have set forth to do...
